Hornby R.697 LMS Express passenger Set - Duchess of Sutherland , Unboxing and running session,

Having a look at an old set from 1978 and running the Train on tracks on the carpet, like back in 1978, with a closer look at the model towards the end of the video.

I believe I found this engine separated from the rest of the set and always wondered what else it came with! A lot of track and accessories included with this one. The Ringfield motor tends to be a bit fussy, have you had any trouble with the drive gear squeaking?

The Loco was available before the set came out, in 1977. This set doesn't get run very often, and hadn't been run for several years before the video, the ringfield motor is very quiet in the model. no squeaking, Glad you found the video informative.

I think you would only find this for sale on eBay now, maybe on odd model shop may have a second hand one for sale once in a while, so many made not many kept.

@@tomwheeler8728 this saying just means maybe you will find in a store. if you would like to find one, I would say keep an eye on eBay they do turn up there sometimes.
