    Like, I know that shuffling all those Tess’ into the deck is a great win condition, but against quest priest, I think quest Rogue really shines when it doesn’t go face like at all. By the end of Kibler’s turn seven, the board state and card advantage was in pretty much the exact same spot it would have been had he never gone face, except the priest had a completed quest that was enabled by the deathrattles he would have played anyway, and those effects were only enabled because kibler attacked face against a deck that runs on your opponent attacking face. If this was a tempo or aggro deck it would make more sense, but the quest weapon is a much better board control tool over time than anything the priest has without the quest (because otherwise priest can only play mediocre minions). Kibler could have just waited until the priest had only nine or so cards left in his deck and no completed quest and just decided to concede because there was no way he was going to get enough value out of the quest to win at that point. No Tess would have been required.

      intresting way of thinking this through. cool

    • @iliya1933

      @@arnaudthouvenot929 That definitely is true. But I think that's just on this specific priest player and is not really an argument for Kibler's strategy or against mine. Like I said, if Kibler just didn't attack face, the game would have been the exact same by turn seven, just without his opponent's hero power being upgraded from a 0/2 buff to a 3/3 or 3/6 buff If the priest had instead played Injured Blademasters and Tolvirs instead of the deathrattle healing taunts, then he only makes it part of the way to quest completion and Kibler still maintains board control in pretty much the same way, but in this case he doesn't have the threat of facing down large minions that will trade into multiple of his. And because Rogue usually needs to run multiple resources (backstabs, vendettas, rush or on board minions, and hero power swings) into one big minion, eventually, if the Priest plays it right, they'll likely run down Rogue without Tess' help because they'll have summoned a number of big minions.
      But to address specifically what you said, this Priest's playing in general was suspect, as the hero power often was part of an answer to Kibler's board. He had multiple chances to use his hero power to take value trades and remain in an advantageous board state going into Kibler's turn, but he instead decided to just use multiple answers from hand. You'd think that one would take any opportunity they could to use a strong, tempo hero power that they specifically built their deck around achieving, and this priest straight up chose not to do that on so many occasions (they also played Ysera into a 1-health Amet, which, sure, it's still early in the expansion's life and we need to forgive people for not always taking into account what the new cards do, but I still think it calls Kibler's opponent's playing into question).
      But DESPITE all that, despite the fact that the priest didn't really use the hero power that invested into unlocking by running other cards specifically designed to unlock it and utilize it to its maximum potential, a 3/3 or 3/6 buff hero power is always better than a 0/2 one, so why would you let your opponent get it for free if you had the choice? Against future quest priest opponents, I think any deck will just have a better time against Priest when it doesn't let it complete the quest for free like what happened here. And this version of quest rogue doesn't have much quick aggression and is better at dealing consistent damage over time through board control, so why try to slowly kill an opponent that specifically tries to heal up that kind of damage and gets rewarded for doing so? And if Kibler had drawn Togwaggle's Scheme near the end of his deck instead of finding it in his opening hand, his chances of Tess winning him the game would have been greatly lowered. That's my overall opinion, anyway.

      Especially at the beginning of a new expansion there's a lot of people who're playing with cards they're unfamiliar with. A lot of the "skill" involved in any deck building game is putting in the reps to really understand all your card interactions on a deep level. Hence, the players who are not amazing but put the time in look kind of crap right at the beginning of a league.

      @entropie-3622 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it depends on how you build the deck, the druid can have enough board flooding cards to outlast the aoe of most control warriors but it will lose pretty hard against more agressive decks at that point, in particular opponents who can snowball in the early- to midgame (murlocks, giantmage, mech hunter, token druid).
      Though no matter how you build it, it is true that rogue tends to be a good matchup due to limited early pressure and aoe removal options.

      Arrakiz666 The deck doesn’t revolve around ‘drawing through itself with Auctioneers’. It revolves around value. Even if you’re forced into an early Tess, the stolen card archetype generates extra value, Mogu Cultist does the exact opposite. If you’re going to run a stolen card deck, then you have no reason not to play Tess, and even less reason to play Mogu.
