Great review! Elias is one of the authors I’m very curious about, mostly because of her practical approach to reading. (Same reason why I like Pitisci’s channel. I also appreciated the review you did of his book). I’m enjoying these video excerpts from lives!
I never give general readings haha, ever since I started. One of the ways I use oracle is to help people find a question when they don’t know what to ask.

Yes, I think Elias is an author you can read and learn from without agreeing with her. Sometimes just being stirred up by a controversial interpretation is good because it gets me thinking. I also like that use of oracle and want to use it more in my readings at events. Thank you for your comments and your kindness.

There are better ways to deliver difficult news in a diplomatic way. Readings aren't blunt objects and should never be delivered with a know-it-all attitude.

I agree with you about general readings. I also swear by something Kelly Fitzgerald once told me, which is that 'every single card in the deck has something to say about the question at hand.' in other words tarot decks have 78 perspectives on any question. How one deciphers that interpretation has as much to do with engagement with the querent, as it does what one 'sees' in the card.

I've read that book, and wouldn't say I'm a fan, although every once in a while she hits on a novel idea.

I agree, Robin. Elias' style is too brusque for me, but it does make me think about how the cards go together in a reading. I appreciate your comments and thanks for watching.

I'm guessing you've seen the movie 'Tarology"? Enrique Enriquez' approaches entirely opened up my own practice, and now I pretty much do only open readings. I also recommend the Yoav Ben Dov book Tarot - The Open Reading@@WaterChildTarot
