I typically watch this on my phone, but when I seen the thumbnail I knew I needed to stick it on the tv to watch. My daughter (3yrs old) kicked off saying she didn’t want to watch it, until the cinematography and slow motion kicked in. She was quiet for 11mins. Thank you Randy and Steve.
When Steve brushed his beard with the broom I spit out my pop and laughed out loud. I was at my daughters gym practice and a lady just looked at me like what’s wrong with you
Thank you so much for sharing! I love seeing the interactions with you and your father! I am about to loose mine to kidney failure and already lost my best friend on the golf course as he can no longer play. Your videos help me through this pain and help remind me of all the great times I had with him on the course. So thank you and just know I truly love your videos and appreciate them more than you know and want you to know you are helping someone through some tough times. Thank you, and thank your wonderful family!!
Nice... That green is great and you guys work so had to keep it that way. I always make a point of thanking our greenkeepers every time I play. That's the least that they deserve. Stay safe and thanks
Steve and Randy that was brilliant, I do love the maintenace vids. The core you showed was so different to the old ones, Steve, it's more proof of the huge amount of work you've put into the green. Randy, the comedy was great too, the opening sequence was very funny but the quality of the shots, the camera work, everything about this vid was produced very well. Whatever you do, your wasted, someone needs to get you into TV / films. The sand down the arm shot was a great P take, I bet his steaks would be better with sand ! Thank you chaps, I really appreciate the vids
We have 21 greens to punch. 18 golf holes. A nursery, putting green, and chipping green. Takes us approximately 8 hours to punch and spread sand. We have a core harvester that picks up majority of the plugs off the greens, then we blow the access off
You mentioned letting Scuba run the camera whole episode. It would be Spud Run quality then. I’d say our camera skills are comparable. Your editing is fantastic Randy.
Thanks Randy. Love seeing you guys at it. Better flip the munchkin greenskeeper a coupla bucks, she worked hard! Was Scuba doing a little Barry Lewis, salting food action with the sand? Thanks again for all your doing on the channel.
dude, you took some mundane task like aerating and and made it super entertaining. Production value was awesome man. That swing low part, ha! Love that you got the family involved too. Cheers buddy
If the sand is kiln dry use a rotary fertilizer spreader. Also if thatch levels aren’t bad you could also just use a solid tine and fill the hole with sand. Our course greens we don’t have a thatch problem and we verticut enough that we haven’t pulled cores on greens in years. 3/4 solid and full with 45 tones of sand.
We use a steel mesh drag Matt hooked to a riding mower to work the sand in. Amazon has quite a few of them. Sand is worked in a couple minutes. Then run the sprinkler at night.
Once again great update on the extensive work needed to look after the fastest green on the course . 😂 Family support well needed and keep up the good work.
I recently bought a metormatic spreader and let me tell you, definitely a game changer! Most of the used equipment I find is up north and costs a ton to ship down to Texas. I’m sure you guys can find one like the one I have for fairly cheap! I can aerate and top dress in less than 2.5 hours on a 2800sqft green! I enjoy watching your videos, you do a phenomenal job!
Fantastic as always, Randy! Wishing you guys a fantastic fall and winter. Come out to Arizona some winter, and I would be happy to host you guys at the club I belong to.
Bet you could make a core hog diy which would make quick quick work of the core cleanup. We use them on greens, tees and approaches on 1600 tee mowers.
100% let scuba film an entire vlog! Forgot about the "holy grail" squeegee 🤣. Did he finally throw it out since there was basically nothing left of it?
Our local club uses air compression to aerate the greens. They never punch holes in the greens or throw sand. When we asked about it they said it is proprietary info. the guy said its a machine with needles that go into the ground and it shoots air into the grass. I tried to google what it might be at one point but i cant find it.
I've seen someone hook up a large brush thing behind their golf cart and just drive all over the green to brush all the sand in.... would definitely save you some labour 🤷♂️
That broom intro....up there with some of the best things you have ever created!
🙏
@@FriedEggsGolf here here !!! i pissed myself laughing so hard at that !!! an am going to re watch it !!!! thanks for doing what your doing!
Only thing missing from the broom intro - slow motion explosion. Scuba Steve ... Gash Dangit - he smashdit
Music choices were was spot on for each segment, well done
Appreciate you noticing 🙏

Our videos are quite confusing to the adolescent mind... almost has a sedative effect.
Thanks
Thanks, Gareth!

Mission accomplished!
This video is GOLD. Love seeing the whole family involved.

Nice...
That green is great and you guys work so had to keep it that way.
I always make a point of thanking our greenkeepers every time I play.
That's the least that they deserve.
Stay safe and thanks
👍🙏
Video editing has leveled up so much over the years.

Slo mo Scuba Steve intro selecting his broom is top notch.
That intro brought a smile to my face, keep it up!
I'm not sure what the best bit was! Cool intro, Sand Bae, or child labour! Just another cracking video Randy!

👉 this is the video I was looking for this morning 🤟
🤘
Dude your stuff is getting better and better….keep up the great work.
🙏
You are ridiculous! Scuba Steve deserves an award for the intro - especially for the Air Broom! Great video
I’m just a tool he’s the talent
It is a lot of work especially if you don’t have all the proper equipment but it’s essential for the health of the greens
If the sand is kiln dry use a rotary fertilizer spreader. Also if thatch levels aren’t bad you could also just use a solid tine and fill the hole with sand. 👍
This vid reminded me to call my Tuesday course and they are aerating. Only open the front 9. Changed courses for the week. Thanks!
Tia the season 👍
I’m gonna start a GoFundMe to get Scuba Steve some new work shirts 😂 Good stuff guys!
These slow-mos are perfect 😂
We use a steel mesh drag Matt hooked to a riding mower to work the sand in. Amazon has quite a few of them. Sand is worked in a couple minutes. Then run the sprinkler at night.
I see you had the help of an Oompa Loompa. She was doing a great job. Kudos 👏
👍
So good randy, love the added cinematography 👌🏼
Great work gentleman. What a undertaking. Great content.
Thanks, Matt!
I love that Scuba Steve’s shirt is from 1994. I think you got your $$ worth out of that one!
Thanks!
Thank you!

Good stuff! Really cool to see the process
I wish I could get you guys the right tools! I just did a 9 hole course with two practice greens. With 3 guys it took 3 and half hours
Impressive! Yeah, I’m guessing filming it nearly triples our time!

Great video loved the intro 👌
I know you hate aeration day but we love it 😂😂
Gotta appreciate Sand Bae Scuba Steve 😂
100% let scuba film an entire vlog! Forgot about the "holy grail" squeegee 🤣. Did he finally throw it out since there was basically nothing left of it?
It has more holes in it than his shirt!
Might have set the bar high. "cool way intro's might have to be in all videos" that was great had me laughing
How much sand do you put down and where do you guys find the best deal on sand?
C'mon, Randy, it's a work shirt, like my 1984 Olympics T-shirt!! Dang, it's almost 40 years old. I feel old, lol.
😂

🤔
Scuba Steve has his shirt tucked in to work and untucked to play golf 😅
Steve cracks me up man 🤣
Steve with the broom intro... he was made for those intros.
That's Scuba's golf shirt. 18 holes...
😂
You two can make watching paint dry entertaining....
Challenge accepted!
I've seen someone hook up a large brush thing behind their golf cart and just drive all over the green to brush all the sand in.... would definitely save you some labour 🤷♂️
