My first base was a shed on Skalisty Island. Me and my friends were so new we didn’t know how to build walls and we ended up just locking the door with a lock pick. It was my longest standing base, upwards of two months with 50 plus wooden crates just sitting in there. With the current state of console, there is no safe bases, only time controlling bases, to allow a team with a 24 full time player on line to mount a defense. But eventually the word gets around and someone whispers an unraidable base.....and the Spartans come for your encampment...

Me and some guys i met on an official ps5 server recently built a prison base (I did most the work lmao). I’d only built one base before that with 7 gates in one of the castles, in probably two weeks we’d already gotten down at least 16 gates. Now that the servers will be wiped im a bit pissed all that work was for nothing. But I have been enjoying my break from dayz waiting on the wipe. Glad to say however that our base will have lasted until wipe, and I will be ready to get to work on a new stronghold after. Fuckin love this game.
My First base was WAY back in .59? .60? We couldnt build back then. The best you could do was some tents well hidden in the woods. My first was In the North West corner of the map, just in from the top most corner hidden in the trees. Back when Tisy was where you went for the M4, SVD and AK101.
Crazy, my first base was in that same little town you built yours but the opposite side. We made gardens around the fenced in area and built a parking area for vehicles. Many hours building many walls. 😅
I've built a few bases and most weren't raided as I build away from buildings. I've got in load of bases without firing a shot and several using a tower or going over roofs

I built in that exact piano house with my friends on official. Only reason it didn’t last a week is because we had to keep killing waves of dupers who had m4a and all black and tons of gas grenades. Like if 4 guys came at a time and constantly had all black and gas and top tier items they had to have been dupers. Only reason they beat us was because they had gas and kept coming back. They sucked at pvp though 😂
Tope, I've been watching you for years and maybe I missed this somewhere but I've always wondered why you don't try out more modded pvp servers. It seems like you enjoy base building and base raiding/defense. I think you would enjoy using the BBP mod along with c4 to raid instead of the vanilla method. I mean.. i'd also like to see you operate a barret. Maybe a colab or something down the line with base building and raiding? Would be dope af.
My first ever base was during my first character in the moustache house in Rogovo. It survived up until wipe, maybe it was due to the server being rather empty, but that doesn't mean I didn't get huge amounts of adrenaline. Firstly, I've managed to find AK-74 in Zelenogorsk, so I stashed it (I guess it's a natural reaction of everyone). Then decided to raid a neighbouring base in Pulkovo, where it turned out I need more than just couple boxes of slugs+buckshots and .308s to break through even 1 gate. Also during my unsuccesful raid someone showed up and started blasting me, so I ran off genuinely being scared of not my gear being lost, but my character, because I put so much value into him. Luckily I survived without a scratch.

ok... I play DayZ alot and mostly modded.. the server im on now you cannot build a tree base it has to be accessed by door on ground level .... how would you access your own tree base without a helicopter?????? pleaseeee somebody answer im so so confused 😭
As much as i think base-less DayZ is superior in every way, and is the only DayZ i know. I do enjoy these videos, i only get time with bases in-game when i raid them occasional when i do play a baser server.
@@eauegh7660sadly its not an opinion that bases ruin the flow of the map and loot, this is a well known fact in the community. If your newer to the community i can understand where thinking bases are a normal part of DayZ but for a very, very long time they were not. Stashing and barrels were a thing for a long time but the issue comes when you look at official servers and how some players go overboard with hoarding loot to the point they never have to "play" the game they just die>go to base>get a full kit again. While stashing can achieve this on a much more balanced scale. Dayz was built for stashing and camps not bases for hoarding MASSIVE amounts of gear. Don't misunderstand me I have no problem with people that build bases and play on those servers. But super baser trader servers are not the "DayZ experience"
