Great video. Would you recomend this monitors for a first pair of monitors? I already have the acustic treatment, now I have to decide betwen this and the Eris 3.5 because of price. Greetings from Argentina

Yes, I would recommend. Not perfect, but I use mine daily (right now as I type this!). They're accurate enough and will serve you well as your skills develop-these won't hold you back. I think a 5 inch woofer will give better range than a 3.5 inch woofer.

Hello, I really liked your explanation. I would need some advice. I started mixing, playing and composing after several years, with dozens of unfinished songs ... that's another story. I have the M.AUDIO 40. I am from Argentina and here I can get these two at the same price: "M-audio Bx5 D3 40w and M-audio Bx5d3 100W. I have a small room and I get the best possible sound from my past experience. Now I will finish a song in a studio. Which of these two would you recommend? Thank you very much. Few people like M-Audio.

If the same price, I would recommend the 100W. Generally, the more overhead you have, the more clear your usable signal will be. In other words, you don't have to turn the 100W up nearly as loud to reach the optimal mixing dB as you would on the 40W. For example, you may have to run the 40W at .5 or .75 volume, where as the 100W you'd run at .25 volume - in turn, a cleaner signal because the amp is introducing less noise and the speaker is working less hard. Good luck! Get those songs done!

They're older than I thought but sounded great for that price. So far only connected through preout on an old Marantz. I sense they can't go 10/10 volume of course but held strong at about 7ish.
