When I worked in underground construction I would start the backhoe then flip the bucket and raise it and raise the out riggers so all tires were off the ground put it in gear with the 4x4 engaged and let it run about half throdle so everything gets warmed up.
That electric bills gonna hurt with that 0 R-Factor.Gary have you looked into Pellet stoves or Waste Oil furnaces also up north here alot of folks use Big Outdoor Wood stoves that you can feed pallets or scrap wood in and they heat the whole house, water and shower with the system. Good Luck
So glad ypu got given the first heater by the greatest neighbors on ypu home stead there a life saver and you hot another one by a compamy Id hate to pay the electric bill but ya got to stay warm
Please be ready, they are saying this next system is going to cause temperatures to go lower than they have been. Praying for your safety and health throughout these stressful times. Miss you Mary.
Foil backed rigid foam (1" = 4" of fiberglass) insulation up in the rafters is the only way to get the benefits from your electricity. Open box, turn upside down, raise outer box off inner box...simple common sense
Are you running two of the Bilt Hard heaters? I watched this review and one from Back2Good. I know you enjoy the barn area for “out of the camper” living space but perhaps that’s only practical outside of deep winter. I imagine those heaters are going to consume a lot of energy and finances. I’m truly not trying to be a downer, I’m just very practical and frugal. I hope they work great for your family was just worried because you’ve really expressed concern over January and February being tough. Hoping for the best!
Why don’t you drop the ceiling where you guys set at cause heat rises and it would be a lot warmer maybe if you put a ceiling fan to pull the heat down just a thought hope you guys stay warm ❤
