      Bro I’m trying to use performance clips shot at 25fps and 60fps so that I can do a slow-mo effect mid shot like you do in your vid but for some reason I can’t get them to line up with the mastered audio. Can you give me some advice on how to get them to match up please?

    Hey jus a simple trick I use is, prior to the shoot I ask the music producer to add a click track onto the ruff mix. So at the beginning of the song ther would be a 4 count and throughout the song thers also a constant click track guiding me for best drops and so forth. Also (alt + w) inserts “Gap” instead of placing a custom black generator at the beginning.

    Man! Thank you so much! I am still relatively new to making music videos, I've done about 5 of them, and I always synched up audio manually, which was a royal pain in the ass, especially when you are working with several locations and angles!! I had no idea about the multi cam clip technique, and I am now working on another music video and this literally saved me HOURS!! Thanks brother!! Keep on crushing it!

    you can put the multi cam clip audio on the song audio and detach the audio from the multicam.. that way you wont have to sync the audio again.. Just detach the audio before you start making cuts...

    • @RoyalZProduction
      @RoyalZProduction 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmmmm interesting. I’m honestly not 100% sure on that!! Are you by chance importing iPhone video clips that were filmed in ‘HDR’ (high dynamic range). I know when you import HDR video from an IPhone, it looks hella bright when imported. If so, to combat this you simply drag the ‘HDR’ tool onto your clip in Final Cut Pro X and you can change the profile to ‘Rec.709’ and it’ll take that weird harsh brightness off of your clip(s).
      And p.s - your music covers are amazing!! Keep that up!

      Are you experienced in FCPX editing software? This tutorial is more so made for beginner - moderate users with final cut. If you know the shortcuts and how the platform works, it's a super simple tutorial to follow as everything I talked about is the basics of how to edit a music video in this editing software

    MULTICAM doesn't work for me... Do you have any idea why ?

    • @RoyalZProduction
      @RoyalZProduction 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The new final cut pro x update for some reason bunches all of the clips weird.. Honestly it maybe just need to wait till the next update. if anything, you can still manually create the multicam and manually sync all of the performance scenes within the multicam

      I was just about to start this Multicam process. Do you know if the current Final Cut Pro 10.4.5 is working for it? Also, it's not really clear how you are cutting between Multicam clips. You did it without showing the mechanism. Thanks

      This tutorial video was created with the assumption that the viewer already has basic editing knowledge in Final Cut Pro X. To be honest, 43 minutes isn't a lot of time for me to cover music video editing in Final Cut Pro X with the style of tutorials I create which are in fact, extremely in-depth and much more in-depth than the average tutorial. I could create 100 FCPX tutorials about music video editing if I really wanted to. Not to sound like some sale pitch but in the description of this video, theres a link to my music video course I created. its 140+ video tutorials that literally teach you everything about music videos. Basics of camera knowledge, pre-production, camera operating, post-production, FCPX tutorials, Premiere Pro tutorials, lighting and more. I priced it at $99 Canadian which is around $70 US.. It took me 3 months to create working 7 days/week, 12-15 hours per day on that course and didn't take one client shoot in between the course creation. I covered every corner of freelance music videography there is to know as an up and coming beginner and priced it so its actually affordable and so you will learn more than enough to start charging real money from music videos.
      Covering why I selected 'some' scenes at various positions, the effects, the shooting techniques behind my clips, what B-roll would 1) make this tutorial a 2 hour tutorial and 2) all of those topics are covered in extremely in-depth, easy to follow tutorials in my music video course. I can ensure you that you will never find another music video course on the internet as in-depth as mine is
