I like to think that there's some Fucker out there that gets noticed for "composing" the backround music and people are like, "Hey, you're the guy who wrote that cool song! Keep up the great original work!." And he's just sweating bullets and says a timid, "oh. thanks."
It's really sad, but that's just how licensing goes. To try and keep the song in, would require having to get permission from Ricky Martin for it's use, and assuming it was even possible, would likely eat up all the funds they have.
Is there somewhere with a list of all the changes between the original version and the new version? The other change I noticed (i've only ever played the steam version) is that in Alternative, some of the english speaking characters use actual english voice actors, but in the videos I've seen online they got Japanese people to do the english speaking characters (the "speak english" scene)
