It looks like it has exceptional build quality on that RV Nick. If you hadn't mentioned the age, at first glance when you went inside, you would have thought it had just come of the production line. This vehicle has been very well looked after throughout it's life methinks. 👍😀
The access at the aft end was the crew cabin I think 🙂 I notice that would prevent the use of a passerelle if stern-to pitched 🛥 Again, 17 years old, but still quite fresh and modern…… with obvious quality 🙂

I'm no expert on motor homes (am on cars!) this too me looks extremely well looked after and appointed and good value given the ludicrously high prices I saw for old motor homes last year.

Having the gas bottles under the drivers seat is a real incentive to drive very carefully. First trip in this would be to the trimmers to get the peach velour replaced!
Love the wood interior on this one. My brain went the wrong direction when you dropped that overhead bed down though. That fabric around the backside made me think 'coffin lining'.
What an absolutely stunningly maintained (or restored) gem this is! That interior was amazing, and better than an awful lot of more modern vehicles at twice the price. I'm guessing that the main difference is in things like solar energy and inverters, things that have changed the entire industry quite rapidly in recent years. Was that large fridge-freezer gas powered, or reliant on external electricity supply?

If the mechanics and all that "under the hood" stuff is as in good shape as what you've shown this looks to be a keeper! Impressive! Second is the apparent blindspot of things like mileage and corrosion issues that on a van you would be all over. No wonder there's been an explosion in people selling MHs and DIY van conversions.
I’ve a Hymer Exis I and for me an improvement would be having just the central door, no cab door. Both smoke and CO detector are wrong you wrong to say otherwise. The co detector must be at least 150 mm from the ceiling if placed on the wall and the smoke detector should not be in the corner, rather better would be in the centre of the ceiling.
I sold my 2010 Rapido 999m Mercedes, fully loaded 6 Cyl Auto , Air, Diesel heat, Oyster TV, 3 solar panels, 60,000M for £32,000 n New Continental Tyres, ads in MMM after loads of Tyre Kickers. Not easy to sell.
She doesn't look her age at all. In fact, I thought she was relatively new until I did the math, because I'm at that age where anything 2000+ is "recent." ;)
There great A class motorhomes until you need to work on the engine or replace the clutch, which the 2.8 has a pull clutch set up nightmare to get out on a normal Ducato with room, wouldn't want to start working though the letter box bonnet that A classes have
Oh wow thats a nice layout. Question though. Whats with Europeans and those bloody narrow doors on their RVs? The bathroom seems to have a nice reasonably wide door so why? I'm a big man at 6'6" and I look at those doors and shudder thinking about if I had to get in and out of the thing all day.😶
Also why the heck to they give a door to the passenger and not the driver?😂😂 Out of all the people who actually kinda need one. Was the country this motorhome developed in left hand drive and just imported it across Europe without bothering to chg the layout?😅😅 Don't want to be prejudice but it sounds very Italian?😂😂
@@loganholmberg2295 all european A Classes are designed for LHD base vehciles, for the miniscule numbers of each model sold new in the UK each year there is no point in the manufacturer reversing the whole layout as you would also need to move the habitation door to the other side too.

I was Waiting to see shag carpet on the floor. Great condition for its age. Just wish a dealer would import them into the States.
