Finally someone appreciates it for its worth ! I don't understand how a lot of people don't even have it in their Top 5... Honestly I feel like this year is very mid with a lot of basic songs that are all kinda similar in a way, and this stands out a lot to me ! My favorite parts of the song are also the Ranina ones but I think that we're able to appreciate it this much because it contrasts with Anastasia's more round and soft voice. The mix is what makes it great !
Hahaha I never progress to be a music expert...I just like what I like...and I like Georgia. I have not checked any opinions yet of the songs - so not to sway my impressions - so I am surprised to hear you say people are not appreciating it!
@@ShanesEurovisionReview I don't know if the general opinion is against it but I've seen multiple tops where it is between 6th & 10th on the 13 released songs :/
The muted facial expressions are because it's a traditional song. The men usually stand straight, up tight and the only movement you might see is an arm moving up or them walking to the front. If you Google this type of ethnic singing you can see that
Strong entry, I like it, it's very competitive imo too, it's a typical georgian jesc entry a bit as the same vibe as their last year entry, the boys bring a lot I agree, after several listenings I was less convinced and less hooked, I still prefer their 2021 entry but it's one of those songs that is really competitive for this year so let's see the performance but I can see a great result again for Georgia. Georgia, France and Armenia have cracked the jesc code definetely even without knowning the armenian song of this year, but yeah these 3 are constantly strong.
@@ShanesEurovisionReview lol that's because I'm not a really ballads stan so after several listenings of a ballad I'm a bit bored, but that's only me and my taste, I can like ballads for sure but in small dosis 😂, I don't know if that makes sense. This one has something anthemic though that's why I find it very competitive. But IDK, in the ballads battle of this year I have more Albania and Germany in mind...
Ranina is the selection for the representative for Georgia at jesc. In 2023, Anastasia won ranina so she represents Georgia at jesc 2023. Nikoloz and Oto competed in ranina 2022, but lost to Mariam bigvava. A few weeks ago it was announced they were going to jesc as a trio tho.
Thoughts on Georgia's entry: I think after the last two years, there was a lot of hype about what Georgia would send because especially last year, those entries were fan favourites. I think theres a bit of a split in the jesc community over what to make of this song but it leans more into the not my cuppa territory for a lot of people. For myself, I think the song is decent but the two entries that Georgia sent before this were much more my taste. The vocals of the two lads reminds me somewhat of Keiino with the yoiking (sorry if I spelt that wrong) and I was in the minority of not getting the hype around their song and not loving it (did like monument tho) This song personally is lower in the pack for me, its sung really well but its not necessarily my cup of tea sonically which especially for a junior contest, absolutely fine. Great music video though, it reminds me of Scream 2019.
I like it a lot! I LOVE the etnic sound of it, especially of the two boys, those are SUCH an addition. THOUGH if you listen well, in this studioversion, one of the boys doen't sound completely on point sometimes and in my opinion it is not that that is etnically on purpose That worries me for a live performance. I adore the red dress by the way hahaha. Nevertheless, my main problem is, as always with Georgia, that the English lyrics are weird and I cannot get over those things. Same happened with Iru and it is such a pity because just changing the words a little bit and not making it just weird lose frases of English words, would add so much.
I take back what I said about the boys, they ARE on point, I don't know why I heard it weird on youtube music 🤔 Still don't like the weird English but this one's in my top5, the more I listen to it, the more I like it. What's your top5 for now Shane?
Hahahaha LOVE the U-turn hahaha! You know I did not focus on the lyrics...my bad...probably should have done that haha! Ah man...top 5 at this stage? Ummm 🤔 - in no order: Netherlands France Spain Albania Georgia I think haha 😂😆 I can't imagine from the songs I have heard so far this is a surprising or revolutionary top 5 hahaha (I do have a sneaky suspicion after Poland's revamp I could love that one). Yours?
@@ShanesEurovisionReview 😂😂😂✌✌✌💖💖💖 I have no doubt about it that you are going to like Poland hahaha, I actually do already, she's my number 6 right now, the uhuh is stuck in my head 😂😂😂. Mine in no particular order; Netherlands, Germany, France, Georgia and Macedonia, though Netherlands and Germany are my favourites. For now, nobody has a revolutionary top5 I think, but let us wait for Armenia, UK and Ireland, they might surprise? I hope there will be more boys, only Sep and Ranina are boys until now 😳
Their faces are muted in the name of masculinity and strength leading a girl in front while supporting her from the back with a wolf (Gorge in persian hence Georgia) stare
What do you think of Georgia's song for JESC 2023? Let me know in the comments below 👇 ⬇
winner 🏆❤️
They are so unique! Winner for me.
When we will hear all three voices on stage, I'm sure it will be very impressive.
BRAVO GEORGIA👏👏👏✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️🇬🇪

Awwwwwww YAY 😁 good to hear we are on the same page!!!! As always you are super sweet Quinto...thank you 😁😊 ❤️
LOVE❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
love the combination of traditional chants (sounds a bit like joik, at least IMO) and the fantasy-theatrical vibes often found in some Disney films.
thanks Shane❤ Georgia serving modern sounds with Georgian acapella this year
