The interior of the movie The Grand Budapest Hotel was shot in a location in Gorlitz, Germany. The art department utilized the abandoned structure of an old department store, the Gorlitzer Warenhaus, as the frame to build out both versions of the highly stylized hotel.

Habe da meine Kindheit vor der Wende (Feindliche Übernahme) dort verbracht und es noch immer das, was ich als Heimat bezeichne würde.
