Hi Leslie, how many layers of wash needed for this beautiful rose. The fine detail of slightly dark shadows makes the rose so realistic. Tq
Great question, but I can only say many many layers. Probably hundreds of brushstrokes like you see in the vid. It happens one stroke at a time rather than large washes all over, and the painting slowly emerges out of the white of the paper.
