That 3 star Michelin judge has a hard on for Napoli Mafia. He literally gvae him a break while other where killing it in the tofu challenge... 3 stars and Edward Lee should have been in the finals.
( last episode situation) chef edward lee should’ve won the competition, he showed us the true next level of creativity and mastery toward food. how come a tteokbokki become dessert? and he made the dish with the ingredients we have daily in our fridge. clearly, he is next level. on the other hand, that napoli matfia just made another regular pasta and throwing bunch of “expensive” garnishes to the dish. i mean we can do it too if we have the ingredients l, that’s not much of creativity and innovation there. it’s like a rich kid trying to make a dish with whatever he has in his fridge. throwing whatever good and expensive 😂 damn bro, chef edward lee is getting robbed for real.
long way from US just for tteokbokki. He didn't give a shit about the competition anymore, he just want to introduce himself as a korean and start new career in korea and Netflix is the best deal. He went to easy to napoli
The contest is based solely on taste and he had the most leftovers in the shop challenge The steak and the caviar on Korean pancakes were not well received. The only reason he survived was because of the slightly higher price point. And He wouldn’t even get through the sting ray challenge. Not that he is not good but As his knowledge on Korean food materials wouldn’t help him through that. He’s basically the same level (of knowledge on how to cook stingray ) as Fabio . While I admire his personality and creativity it is not fair to base your opinion solely on the editing of the last episode or his nationality.
uhh not true ... EdwLee's beef was initially bad not due to his cooking but due to being given the wrong cut of meat (I can't remember who chose it though), but he impressed the judges by turning a bad situation around by cooking with butter and thinner slices to make them more chewable ... from that point the customers who full of praise ... I don't know why you would doubt the man who won truckloads of cooking awards in america and cooked for the presidential banquet .... He did prove his steel by emerging victorious in the 6-round hell segment ... unlike the other finalist who only had to win with 1 dish and never exhibited versatility basically only relying on the western style and expensive ingredients throughout the show ...
Mafia admittedly chose a safe dish for the finals. And it obviously is. It’s a dish that Edward have probably made or seen in the US and would not be considered something special. It’s meat. A perfectly cooked meat is a simple thing that the judges always look for. So shallow to be honest.
He won the hearts bcoz of his creativity and humbleness

Anyone who serves broth out of a moka coffee pot is not an Italian chef.
It was smart. It allowed him to serve the food hot and avoid a soup based dish from going cold or the pasta getting soggy.
