Jon not understanding why the Phillies lost the NLCS is why I can take his opinions seriously. Rob Thomson is the #1 reason they lost. His stubbornness in not moving Bohm out of cleanup (DBacks said they pitch around Schwarber & Harper) because he would hit into double plays. Or he kept throwing out Kimbrel each night (which he hasn’t done all season.) Having Johan Rojas bat in a game 7, bases loaded, 2 outs situation was just mind boggling! Telling the press that you’re going to take Ranger out in the 4th but weren’t going to tell him that. Not using Walker to pitch & not telling him why you weren’t using him (only active roster player not to play in the postseason) Rob would laugh at media when they asked about moving Bohm because of what the DBacks manager has said. Rob never took blame for his inactions or actions but took the credit for situations that he had nothing to do with. Phillies win because they’re a good team & win in spite of Thomson.
Partly agree. Rojas should have been benched last series. Kimbrel situation which drove me nuts was in Game4 when he blew game and it was tied he fking still left him out there but in the end they lost cause there main core vanished in game 6/7 and here we are again the same lineup. I do see alittle difference there winning games without needing to hit 4 HRs a game but CF and RF are black holes on this team and I see Thomson doing the same crap in RF. Refuses to switch stuff up
@@julianc6863 There was a good amount of small ball during the playoffs but was definitely overshadowed by hitting bombs left & right (not complaining 😂!) Thomson doesn’t want to adjust & it might just be his monotone demeanor but he treated each playoff game like we were in early May! His stubbornness & his responses to reporters about his stubbornness, drive me up a wall. Casty is actually playing well (better than Schwarber in LF) in RF but I care more about the bats & he needs to start hitting!! I think he’ll get there but it’s so frustrating to watch! You think the Phillies could fast track Justin Crawford (I doubt it but would love it!) or maybe trade for Jo Adell from the Angels??

No. They stopped hitting. That was the D'Backs pitching, and not Thomson's fault. Maybe learn to see what's in front of you, next time.
