As soon as I completed OR (which to me was fucking difficult) this was the ONE song I wanted Nate to cover. Why? It's epic and it shows Wally's growth as a character, it gives the feeling of improvement and success and I love it to bits.
They did say 'to me was difficult', specifically pointing out that not everyone might feel that way. Maybe they were doing it pushed for time and it was difficult to complete because they didn't have enough free time to finish it in one sitting, or they were exploring everything the game had to offer. Maybe they were doing a nuzlocke or without the xp share, or only using their favourite pokemon: people can play games however they like and adjust the difficulty accordingly. Man, this battle was a roller coaster of emotions for me, wally is by far my favorite rival to date, it felt less like he was someone i strive to beat, but someone you helped grow, and it shows. you see his progression in the background by reading the gym statues, and seeing that he's gotten farther than you. and once you beat groudon/kyogre, you see wally at ever grande city, and you know you will meet again soon. this battle had me in tears, and this song brings that out. wally, a person we see three times in the entire game, has the most character development I've seen in the franchise.

Well I got a 2ds for about £100 when x and y came out, when pokemon OR/AS came out last year I got it a few days after it came out for about £45, then I sold everything 6 months after the game came out (got about £100 for it) so a few months ago I thought I'd get back into pokemon so I picked up a 3ds and AS for £100, but seriously it's a really good game

I love all the gens of pokemon to be honest but fire red was my first game, emerald the first I ever beat on my own. I live in gen 3, so while "blue" was still my first rival. Wally was my first friend, in a pokemon game and one of the people I genuinely respected most in the games even though most never liked him till gen 6. I mean he overcame whatever (this is a mysterious illness cliché) he has and literally ran away from home to pursue a dream of becoming a great trainer cause his family didn't think he could do it. Wally was literally a factor in my life that inspired me to fight so hard for my dreams so I think he's pretty awesome. XD I also think this was an amazing cover as usual Nate X3
Freaking badass. The moment I battled Wally this theme played. Especially when he was down to his last pokèmon. The ralts you helped him capture evolved into a Gallade. Mega Gallade vs. Mega Sceptile, Mega Blaziken, or Mega Swampert.
Now this is some cool Demetori-style stuff. I like it. (Okay, so if it were Demetori, it would have a lot more buildup and all that, but I know that Demetori is never gonna cover this song, and this is good enough anyway.) :D

He grows stronger through every encounter with you, using you as a role model. He's your friend, not your rival, and he wants to prove to you that he's just as good a trainer as you are. He and James should have a sit down about being the real heroes of the Pokémon world.

Really? I had zero problem with him, and my team was kind of underleveled. Granted, I used my Modest Froslass on it, so it hit first, and it hit hard.
