I only had paid for OSC-45, and it's one of the best plugins I've got on that price range. It's unfortunate they are retiring Spectral Plugins, is one of those brands that I wish more and more plugins from, great value.

Kinda weird that to download the plugins you need to sign up to their newsletter and agree to receive "marketing communications". Not really a problem, and no different to what most other companies do, but why would they be sending any marketing communications if they're going out of business?
Newsletter yes, Marketing, no. You can download after the first email type, and IF you type your 'normal' email there, well ... that only says you do not have three emails normal, official and trash :D
My guess is that building out an email list could prove useful for a future project or service. It's just the end of this specific company, but that doesn't mean they might not one day try again and promote that future one.
I'll have to check them out, I'm all about free plugins and spending time to understand how they actually work and what the difference is. I don't like to idea of just buying a bunch of expensive plugins, to me that is everything wrong with everything these days lol.
I tried the puncz and its the best transient shaper algorhythm i know of! The grain reverb is pretty damn cool, the rest is nothing new imo. The tape one is i think great but idk a lot about tape sims
actually I paid for OSC-45 but I can't be mad at them for going oob. OSC-45 is an awesome alternative to RC-20 and especially for LoFi its pretty neat. P.S.: I'm the 619th thumbs up, Rey Mysterio will come and haunt you. :P
maximus isn't a multiband transient shaper though... am I missing something? rigging up frequency splitter into three transient shapers in patcher would be the way to go, but pancz is quick, effective, and ready to go. NYC knob is handy too. Only issue is the mix knob causes real phasing issues, as was noted ^ , but there's really no reason to bring it down in the first place.
the difference between plugins in your daw and paid ones is the quality of the paid ones lol, thats why people spend money on them otherwise there is a free version of every plugin
@@markwincek6688 Maximus is a multi band maximizer mainly. But you can play with the compressor settings. But you're right: you can create a patch on patcher with fruity frequency splitter and transient processor. But that's a lot of work lol. This plug-in is free for now😂

Pancz and the tape one are great. Spacer seems to eat a lot of CPU but sounds great

Because email newsletter lists are worth a lot of money and can be sold to other companies. If it's "free" you're the product.
