I have been watching the Wallabies from Africa for 42 years I told people after that 2nd half against the AllBlacks in Sydney in Septemebr that the Wallabies were on the rise. The main reason is that guys on the the very good 2018 / 2019 under 20 Australian side are coming of age . McReight, Tate McDermitt, Ikitau, Lolesio, Frost , Wilson , Faessler were all on that team. History might be repeating itself because the 1984 Wallabies squad had its core quite a few of the "invincibles" of the 1978 Australian schoolboys that goure the UK and had Mark Ella as their trigger man
The last 2 weekends showed that the Wallies are on the mend and they’re going to build a very competitive team with all their fresh talent over the next 3 years. They’ll be ready to host their World Cup in 2027. Exciting times!
Hard to gauge how good Australia really are till they play one of the top 4 but they are going along nicely at the moment if they beat Ireland heads will be turning

One can sense the pride, the confidence, and the commitment building game by game. Another couple of seasons heading in this direction and the Wallabies will be formidable.
Wales needs to start playing Portugal, Japan, Uruguay etc. They’ve got to get some confidence back. There are players who don’t know what it’s like to win and Gatland needs to go. He never did well with Waikato and I was surprised Wales took him back.

Well this looks most likely (barring Devine intervention next week) like not winning a single game in 2024. What other coach in world rugby would survive that? The fact that we’re even talking about Gatland staying on at this point is remarkable.
Gatland is the least of their worries. There's a parlous lack of quality in Welsh rugby at every level; the URC regions are woeful and have been for years. The relative competitiveness of the Welsh national side over the last 10-15 years largely belied a desperate state of affairs below the national setup. Gatland's previous stint was the most successful they've ever had, but not even their most successful coach could make a winning team out of this lineup of plodders.
Congrats Australia on the well earned double record breaking win. From a Wales supporter. First record broken was most points scored by Australia in Cardiff. Next week will be a tight game against Wales and SA. No matter how poorly the oppositions plays, SA will make sure that they make enough mistakes to make it a tight game.
I am usually the last one to call for the sacking of a coach; calls for the firing of a coach are usually emotional and does not take into account the ups and downs you get when you've lost some of your best players. But the Welsh have got to decide at which point enough is enough. They pushed Australia close earlier this year in two competitive games overseas, but now was absolutely demolished by a Wallabies team that looked lightyears ahead of them. I suppose the only reason why I won't fire Gats if I had been in charge, is the simple question of "then what?". Who do you want to replace him with? And who will be willing to accept that job? Told you! I congratulated Australia in your preview match before the game was even played. Gatland needs to go! I think what's becoming evident now is one of two things. Either Gatland is out of ideas or he never was the main man responsible for Wales previous success, Shaun Edwards was. It's probably a combination of both to be honest. On the actual game. There were 2 players for Wales that looked good. Tom Rogers and Jac Morgan. I felt so sorry for Rhodri Williams. He put in this beautiful 50-22 only for the boys to cough it up at line out. That being said, Australia obviously deserved winners, played really well. Tom Wright is a star full back! Hell of a player. The only area that I could see Wales looked a bit better than Australia was the scrum. But we couldn't make anything from it. Ahh.. Reminds me of Welsh rugby before 2005 again.
Lets go Australia. We got a strong squad. our halves play with urgency, solid back row, we got good discipline around the break down, good scrum, good line outs. Great time to be a wallabies fan lets goooo.
Line up for SA should be Mathias, Lake, H Thomas, Tshiunza, Plumtree, Morgan, Reffell, Wainwright, Bevan, B Thomas, Murray, James, Llewelyn, Dyer, Rogers
So happy for the wallabies! It’s great to see them playing better. What to say about wales. They’ve had Gats there for years. Whatever the issue with lack of experience and balance in the team, is on him. It really is.
We're here in wales supposed to have snow next week. Please lots of it dont won't to play springboks. Springboks with their second/third team would put 50 points on us. Probably a hammering by 50,60 maybe even 70 points incoming. Dark days ahead for welsh rugby I'm afraid to say.
Wtf, crazy game. I only caught the first half where first Aus were running away with it, then Wales were coming back into it big time. Missed the second half to come see on review Aus red card and they ran away with it after all 🤣
Our front 5 is atrocious minus dewi lake. No depth at 9 and 10 either. Back three are alright but too small. Back rows are the only area where we are actually have a lot of quality.
Difficult game to gauge where the Wallabies are at as opposition left early with their supporters - Joe Schmidt’s job is to keep his troops grounded and reset for Scotland which has the potential to be the best game of the whole Autumn series
Don`t see Gats being there come the 6 nations , at least the new coach wont have any unrealistic expectations on his back , Ireland will hoping we can put a dent into the Aussie juggernaut , at least next years Irish&Lions trip down south wont be the walk over it seemed a year ago . What`s Rassie gonna do next week
Difference between the 2 teams is the standard of coaching and Australia are leagues above us in that regard in terms of game-management, quick thinking in critical moments and controlling the momentum of the game and that's all thanks to Schmidt. 40 of the 52 points Australia scored they hardly had to work for them as we either gave them a free run in from an interception or give away a cheap penalty for them to effortlessly maul their way over. Rugby is all about momentum and we cannot gain it to save our lives. Bottom line is...I've seen pub teams look better drilled than this Welsh team and it's very embarrassing to admit that.
I have 4 tickets for next week’s match (£50 each - thanks WRU). Very tempted to give them away so me and my mates can go to the pub instead. Welsh rugby in free fall.
If you are a bit off your game the Rugby Championship is probably the worst competition to be in. Maybe Aus isn't quite ready to challenge for the number 1 spot yet, but they seem to be moving in the right direction. NZ looks to be improving as well. Hard to tell where SA is heading as they have a different team every week.
I don’t think South Africa will take next weeks game seriously. Most of the World Cup stars will be rested. Expect about 11-12 changes to last night’s team that played England.
Im pretty confident Gatland will be gone by the end of the year, even if he stays in the Six nations we arent winning a game and no coach can stay with 17 losses in a row.
@Zveebo I think the WRU just dont have a plan, they are realising getting rid of Shaun Edwards was a huge mistake because they thought all the previous success was down to Gatland.
Had to deal with plenty of arrogant Welsh fans down the years so don't feel much sympathy for them. It's crazy how far they have fallen and the URC results show it's not really a shock
I can have some sympathy with the fans. But no sympathy for Gatland - guys been full of it over the years, so delighted to see his reputation fall apart.

So all those who weren't convinced Joe was their man to change the fortune's of Aussie rugby may be looking at eating humble pie.. The Grand Slam Dream is alive Scotland next. The test v Ireland is shaping up to be a real humdinger.. how good.
There is alot of people defending Warren Gatland -but i think they are very misguided. "players are not good enough!" - well there's rhys carre, macs page and could of been IFW (lost to england) if he wouldn't of slagged him off. He must go. simple.
Joe Schmidt is doing a FANTASTIC job with the Wallabies! Exactly what he did with Ireland. In the mean time questions must now be asked about Gatland, Borthwick and Robinson. Not exactly recent records to be proud of. Well done Wallabies!
Wales stsrted poorly but finished the hslf strong. Looking to be a close game but sfter the red card Aus went up another gear and mauled over Wales. Then Wales had to force it too much. Solid win from Aus but Wales are in their dark era and it ain't getting bright any time soon.
Worst match I've ever seen in my lifetime from Wales, a complete reversal from the World Cup. Conceding 3 tries while the opposing team is a man down is unforgivable...
Not sure on the maths but go this put Wales below Georgia on world rankings? Guess we'll see tomorrow when they're released... Not good for Welsh rugby.
Welsh fan. Think we need to keep the patience. Very very young team. 6N will be the best indication of where we are. Gats always admits that Autumn's are for experimenting with. Also, I remember a time when we NEVER beat the southern hem teams. Odd change of opinions. WRU does need a real kick up the backside, mind you. Needs to go back to being a proper working class regional sport and not copying the Irish / Scottish model. You've got my backing Gats, and if you leave, I'll be placing blame at WRU door
Yeah crazy thing is that Aussie side all year has been about the same age... Been good to see Schmidt turn them around - hope Gats gets them the click the same way soon
@TwoCentsRugby Yea see many similarities in Oz / Wales. I'd then argue that we are now not quite as good as them, because generally speaking, we have a much smaller base of players to chose from. But isn't it great to see Scmhidt do well. I've given the majority of Irelands success down to him. And I'd hoped (because I love them) he'd become next NZ coach. Hope Oz now back him and get behind him. They'll be a headache for you lot in the coming years, IMO.
And if someone doesn't work out what yellow and red cards are for and what the TMO is for then I am going to Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeem!!! I see no consistency in the slightest. The other two things I noticed were that Australia's interplay has stepped up big time and Michael Hooper as pundit is looking a lot scrawnier than Michael Hooper as a rugby player.
What sort of blackmail does Ryan Elias have to keep getting picked like this, absolutely nothing has changed. The minute he’s on that line out is gone.
This has been coming - we're not surprised in Wales, I hate to say. It'll get much worse too - we'll get torn from limb by South Africa next week then we're looking at another wooden spoon in the 6 nations. The sport has been dying here for some time - I think we might be witnessing the last few breaths.
We look like a bunch of schoolboys up against titans. The WRU have a lot to answer for, our regions are crap and the game at grass roots has been under funded for years, now we have no top tier players coming through. Its gonna get worse before it gets better.😢
@@portorportor8247 if he’s not sacked he’s unsackable. How can you go this long without a win and stay in a job. What a terrible precedent to set that’s just accepting defeat.

Is that really the most points Wales conceded to Australia? Thought they scored more in the 90s
In Cardiff I think it's the record they said
Pretty sure Nick Frosts try was more like 95 meters? In lock meters of course
100%
men against boys. Welsh back line played like a high school team
I blame maggie for wales demise😅😅
I hope Schmitt stays on for the World Cup
Worst match I've ever seen in my lifetime from Wales, a complete reversal from the World Cup.
Conceding 3 tries while the opposing team is a man down is unforgivable...
Tom Rogers played so well for Wales. The rest, not so much!
Mark reading the stats at the end, sounds like a disappointed teacher
I honestly thought it would be a contest... but yeah.... nope
Another sad day for Welsh rugby 😔
And if someone doesn't work out what yellow and red cards are for and what the TMO is for then I am going to Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeem!!! I see no consistency in the slightest. The other two things I noticed were that Australia's interplay has stepped up big time and Michael Hooper as pundit is looking a lot scrawnier than Michael Hooper as a rugby player.
Got another spare kiwi manager available??? One who knows a few welsh grandparents of kiwi players ????? 😂
Wales dominates the Wallabies in the world cup and a year later the Wallabies dominate Wales.
Totally different Australian side.
What sort of blackmail does Ryan Elias have to keep getting picked like this, absolutely nothing has changed. The minute he’s on that line out is gone.
We all know what needs to happen at WRU, however will they do it? I think no and we’re gonna remain terrible for at least ten years 🤷♂️
This has been coming - we're not surprised in Wales, I hate to say. It'll get much worse too - we'll get torn from limb by South Africa next week then we're looking at another wooden spoon in the 6 nations. The sport has been dying here for some time - I think we might be witnessing the last few breaths.
Oceania 4/4 with Oceania reeferees 🤪
I dunno if we can place this one at the refs feet 😂
@TwoCentsRugby agree 😁
We look like a bunch of schoolboys up against titans. The WRU have a lot to answer for, our regions are crap and the game at grass roots has been under funded for years, now we have no top tier players coming through. Its gonna get worse before it gets better.😢
Aussie aussie aussie 😂😂😂😂😂 2027 on the horizon 😂😂😂
Dreams are free my friend 😂.
Wales on a losing streak what an embarrassment smh 🤦🏻♂️😆
Gats has to be sacked Ryan Elias line out problems aren’t new and to throw 5 or something in a row is mad
Is Gatland gone? Don't think so...too much history with gatts ... Wales done well under him for long time!
That was long in the past now. Any other nation in our form would have sacked him months ago
@@portorportor8247 if he’s not sacked he’s unsackable. How can you go this long without a win and stay in a job. What a terrible precedent to set that’s just accepting defeat.
You have what you have.
Getting rid of Gats will cure nothing. There is no magic pill.
It's down to skill, experience and hard work, which is Sadly lacking at present.
Well done Australia, You are coming together very well..
