I'm having a problem with that code my stock F150 3.5 eco. It was a quart low so We did an oil change and it solved it, for a couple weeks. Now it's back on. Ford believes burning a quart of oil a month is acceptable in that motor. The only thing is sometime the P0299 code comes on with the P0016. It's annoying!
I usually go to the dealer. They're actually really good and honest. But for this I went to a guy who was highly recommended and a long time ford master tech. We changed it with good oil and he checked all ford's TSB's on all things related to this issue. So the next step before jumping into a $2200 timing chain is some further diagnostics to make sure it's the chain and not a bad oil pump on start up or sensor. I'm a fanatic about oil changes so hopefully it's something small. That P0299 turbo code came on once and had me a little worried but that can be a half dozen small things instead of a turbo.
@@FordBossMe when this started I was 1k miles before my oil change was due and down just over a quart. If It wasn't paid for and been such a great truck I'd probably trade it in.
I didn't change the oil for long time now this code keeps popping even after I did oil change I'd cleared after couple days shows up again. Ford Explorer sport 2014 .
I have a ford raptor 2021 I can't get rid of a code POO71 It's been to ford Canada 8 times and I've spent $11,000 in repairs still no fix would you have any idea what may cause it to stay on engine light I bought the truck directly from ford with 2km on it for $107,000 I've put 2034km on it and now nothing but prob after prob already 11k into bills should I jus sell and take a loss or rip out engine and replace ?
You're looking at like I want to say about 10 to 12 hours for the front cover/timing chains is what most dealers would charge X whatever the labor rate is plus the cost of parts I think it would probably be safe to say it's somewhere around $2,000
@@FordBossMe my truck nee dmore accelartion there is no timing chain problem. Also my meter shows different mileage per litre some times. So should i change sensor again may be it was faulty or go for timing chain thing?

I would say probably more like a quart of oil every oil change not every month but I'm not ford ..... I just worked for them
Yeah that code is one of two things shit oil or timing chains are starting to go

Tell me what that code means I don't remember what all of them mean

Replacing the timing chain solved P0016 and P0299?
I think it was something to do with timing and also vacuum solenoids for the turbo
How much will it cost to do a job like that on the Timing chain on a 2011 Ford F-150 ecoboost for that code p0016

I just had a rough estimate of $2200 for 12 F150 eco. But we're checking a few other things before we do that major of a repair.
I have a 2012 Ford F-150 3.5 reader says bank 1 sensor A. Replaced it and still says bank 1 sensor A. Any thoughts on this. Thanks.
Could be a wire or pin issue sometimes at the pcm
i had p0016 code and my mechnaic changed sensor but still showing same code. so what is the problem then? can you please help me?
Could be timing chains, may need an oil change and a engine flush
Make sure oil level is full and if it is you may have a partially stretched chain

Don’t buy a first gen anything. Even a toaster. Telling myself. Out 50k.
So hard
