To kill the first ghost make a save after you dig up the grave with the keys in it, and then run straight to the memory at the bottom of the hill while staying to the left. Then, after it stops playing run to the right to get the gun, and the ghost will spawn to the left of the tent. Worked for me on ps4 and ps5.

i got the game two days ealier ;)
Getting the first ghost. I went and grab the oars and went straight to the next part and did the echo where the ghost was hovering above. Grabbed the loud speaker and went at the location of the first ghost and got him with the first shot. Then I went back and started following his walkthrough.

If you want to use the phones to travel back to the main bunker you can. They are near each cassette player.

For some reason the first ghost at 38:09 doesnât spawn for me. Would attempting to drive the car after escaping the cafe for the first time have to do with it?
driving the car at the beginning already effect a different ending...if you want all trophies without replaying the game several times you need to follow this step by step

It looks like the ghost appearance in the area is random. I CANNOT g et the first ghost to spawn.

This guide doesnât work for PS4. Played 2 playthroughs the ghost wonât spawn.
Probably you accidentally triggered the ghost on a flashback and didn't notice because if the ghost hits you he disappear.

@@IBadDriverI This must have happened 3 times to me then as the ghost will still not appear where it does in your video. In fact, it remains unanimated in the sky above the third tent down over the hill. Frustrating :(.
I'm on Xbox and this ghost by the 2 tents won't spawn for me either. I've left the controller just sitting for 10 minutes now at this spot because tired of holding while I wait. There must be something that triggers it's appearance.

Saw a comment from dev that says you'll need to restart if any of the ghosts have caught up with Chris, that they won't respawn.
38:05 Hi, I was having this trouble on PS5. I tried three times and was sceptical about the ghost having got me EVERYTIME. It turns out it did! I tweeted the developer who was very cool and explained that the ghost getting you is very subtle. Itâs just a quick distortion of the screen and the ghost wonât respawn. He told me to load a pre-Site C save and try again, being mindful of the ghost âanimationâ. I tried again and this time just did the bits necessary to get the gun first. I watched each flashback from inside the house or the tent so the ghost couldnât get me during a cutscene. Went to between the tents and, lo and behold, the ghost spawned! Hope this helps someone else with this.
