I've watched this video a few times over the past two years and recently started liking the Hawker series very much. The noise from those engines is beautiful. This is a very sweet video. It must be nice to do something special like this with your wife and she looks like she's appreciating it. I'm sorry that you had people commenting rudely and disrespectfully. I hope you get to travel private like this again in the near future. When you do, please post it :)
Was reading through comments and saw some rude things...Your wife is very beautiful and seems very sweet too, Some people are just jealous, can be only explanation.
The ultimate life style, flown on company jets many times, you can't beat it. No waiting in lines, cars waiting for you on the tarmac, drinks and snacks ready for the return trip after a busy day...fanastic.
I hope you can disregard what some of the people are saying on your comments, I got a real kick out of watching you and your Wife enjoying a special moment together! She seems so cute and charming! She made me smile! And the Jet, WOW! Take about a POWERFUL Take Off! Thank you so much for sharing your video...you both seem like great people!
Thank you for sharing the experience. It was great to see your wife excited by it as well. I took my wife on a surprise private helicopter to the international airport at the start of a holiday and it blew her socks off but it doesn't even compare to this. Good on you!
I have flown in Cessna Citations and Lear jets. So much fun. I flew from Cleveland to Washington, D.C. to photograph John Glenn. The photo was published in the Cleveland Plain Dealer that afternoon. I also flew back from St. Lewis to Columbus, Ohio as the lone passenger. Those were the days. Many fond memories.
Loved the video. Haven't flown since I retired from active duty in the Navy 20 years ago. Last flight, I got to ride in the cockpit of a C130 on takeoff and it was awesome. Again, thanks for the great video.
Back in the 90's I got a ride on one of our corporation's jets. What an amazing experience. We flew from Florida to California with a stop to refuel in a place called Millionaire Texas. There was just me and another guy, plus the two pilots. Gourmet meals (like 10 of them). l heard some comedian describe private jets as "addictive like crack", and I can definitely see that.
jss747 Piaggio is also very roomy in the cabin (5'9" ceiling height - comparable to or better than many private jets). Also very quiet. La Luna is very skeptical of private aviation, but doesn't seem to have personal experience, at least in these types of aircraft. I've been very lucky to fly aboard a Citation X on a transcontinental flight, and there is absolutely no comparison to commercial aviation, even in first class.
Did you happen to note the 'wheels-up wheels-down time' (really just asking flight time)? Great vid. Really enjoyed it. PS: Rude commenters: may you someday experience the CFIT you've clearly earned.
I used to fly for a charter company, and if you can afford it it sure beats the hell outta airline travel. The Hawker 800XP we had chartered out at $3800/hr; this guy and his wife flew what's called a repositioning leg moving the aircraft to a new location for (probably) a charter flight.
I'd love to fly in a private jet at least once in my life. I've been in many commercial jets and a military flight, so I'm sure it would be a treat. Great video! Looks like you guys had a good time!
REAL NICE !!! we used to do this for friends and relatives @ my previous job. We would fly them to and from KMIV to KTEB (Empty Repo Legs) sometimes people would wait @ the Airport for days hoping for a free ride on a Gulstream :-))).
sir you and your lovely wife seems like to have fun I am glad she has great husband like you who respect her and please don't think about stupid comments good luck to you and your family 😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙😙
***** Actually, in this situation in my country the only way to win that "old-style war" is to go to real war, and make a good buck as a professional soldier, unless, off course you die first. Otherwise a normal person will not get for example this. In here, if you fly private planes you are either 1.Born to a family of CEOs, 2.Modern day (insert genius here) or 3.You have INCOMPREHENSIBLE SHITLOAD of luck. So is it a wonder that some people are jealous? It does not matter how hard you try, without the mystic X-factor of success you will live average and die average, and that average is not all that good.
***** By the accent and surroundings I would guess southern USA? But I live in Northern Europe. You have probably been told this is a great place and we have free healthcare and bla bla etc. Truth is we have shit politicians and enormous taxes. And the part that most annoys me is that I've heard about a "colleague" who was working as a fireman and got his face burned forever and guess what his salary is? Around 1900 a month, tax excluded. Meanwhile a certain minister here, not doing her job very well, makes 6000 to 7000 a month. I think this is completely fucked up!
ose K A minister there makes 6,000 to 7,000 a month. Meanwhile the Elected PUKES here make $170,000/year here with SEVERAL multi-week vacations per year and free healthcare....and they have the BALLS to call someone making MINIMUM WAGE, (which hasn't been raised in 20+ years) of $7.25/hour lazy. TIPPED workers, usually folks in the food industry, haven't had a raise from their minimum wage of $2.13/hour since 1991.
Your wife seems pretty exited and "new" to flying Corp Jets or Jets in particular. I think it is great, you guys took a ride like that. Way to go and please do post more of these sort of videos. Regards from Germany
Hey, that's nice bro! I would like to take my wife on a private Jet plane tour too but I'm broke...lolI guess I will have to live out that dream vicariously through this video...
I remembered my fliht to Argentina in 1986 at a Boing 707 Pan American in 30 minutes I could arrived to there, but the begin of fliht was a little shaked by the wind....!! there is a storm weather at the evening that day ! Thanks, I know what you feel flying... me.
My wife and I fly from London, England, to Los Angeles USA, every night while we're in bed, fast asleep. We get woken by ATC ~ 45 mins before we're due to land, then I take over the controls. Sometimes there's no contact from ATC for whatever reason, then we realise when we eventually wake up naturally, that we've crashed!! My wife then puts the kettle on. :)
Nice vid. My family got to ride with me when I was flying a King Air. She is not a private AC passenger either and hated it. For her it's the airlines or drive. A nice perk of working in aviation is getting a free ride when the AC is empty. CAK to CLE is an easy trip and a nice intro flight to the novice flyer.
If this guy was flying on this private jet as a treat to his wife then he's a nice guy and this is a real nice treat. Good on him! Weird to see the door to the cockpit open. I also found it strange that it sounded louder than a commercial jet. But still, a great gift.
+Will Haven The take off was from Akron-Canton. This airport is very close to the NFL Football Hall of Fame. Just a couple of minutes. It is 12 miles south of Akron. By the way, the Hall of Fame is not worth the $20 it costs to get in. I live just outside of Akron.
You two seem so sweet together :3 Also thanks for taking the video! Its really awesome :) how much did it cost for that trip in a private jet by the way?
Well there's a number of factors that make a corporate jet a better option than flying commercial. First off, it's much nicer. The seats are bigger, the food's better, and it's a lot quieter than any commercial jet I've been on. Additionally, it's possible to actually get work done because most are outfitted with pretty high-speed Wi-Fi and some form of conference/meeting room. Also, we only use the biggest jet, a 737 BBJ, for really long-distance flights where first-class tickets cost closer to $20,000 than $2,000. At that point, if you're sending more than 25 people or so, it's almost cheaper to use the jet anyway. There's also the relatively major benefit of being able to jump back on the plane and go anywhere else in the world at a moment's notice, something that is hugely valuable if you have operations all over the globe.
Even then, it costs as much as a car. We have a small fleet of jets at work reserved for the higher level execs, and it costs about $50,000/hour of airtime. They've got couches and a kitchen or bedroom and usually a stewardess or two, but I doubt one this size would be much cheaper.
Just because the husband knows more about flying than she does does not mean she's flown before. I lived with someone for nearly 11 years who had flown before and I have never set foot on a plane in my life. Just saying. Maybe she's never taken a flight on a small jet before. It seems people see much more than if flying commercially.
Ahhhh! The innocence of the wife asking if it is ok to take photo after take-off. So cute! She is a little doll. Did she get an opportunity to apply for membership of the Half Mile High Club?
I'd love to fly one. But if I had 3 hours to spend in one as a passenger, I'd rather go first class in a 737 or better. Or better yet get a line of 3 seats to myself in Y. But great vid! Thanks for sharing.
You don't feel the bumps anymore than a commercial flight for the most part. I have never had someone complain about turbulence wishing they were on a commercial flight instead of a private jet.
jss747 On a short flight your altitude is not as high as a longer flight I believe. Private jets generally fly higher than commercial planes on long flights. I never experienced any more turbulence. maybe less. I did love looking into the open cockpit to watch the landings . . . especially at night.
Just caught this at random. Nice video brother! I see it was Ben's leg...he's a great pilot! I like how you walk to the plane at Atlantic but the flight originates in CAK. ;-)

Isn't odd that someone by the name of Mart Fart is the voice of reason and good manners.
If youtube disabled comments entirely, it would be such a better place... and yes, I realize the irony of this statement.
Will Phillips Music
I love the comments section tho.
Bravo Mr Fart, well said.
She is beautiful and does seem to have a sweet disposition. There are always going to be trolls who drip with jealousy though.

What a delightful young lady. I found this vid because I’m riding a similar plane this weekend and she did great inspiring me to just enjoy the ride.
Great Video! Great couple. You wife has the best smile!!!

That was AWESOME.. thanks for taking us along for the Ride...
Most enjoyable..
Your wife is really lovely. Congratulations!
The lady's awesome smile at 4:29 is the best part :)
What some call awesome, others may call creepy.
Allen Smith soooo creepy smile ??
I know what you intended to say but your wording does not necessarily make sense.
She looked so excited. That's cool to see.
Liked your wife. She's pretty, kind and appreciative. Must be nice 😊 thanks for the vid.

Awesome. I can only do this in FSX, lol. Good for you and the Mrs to experience this for real!
Flying on your schedule, with no hassles from anyone. That's the way to travel.
and no TSA!
Paying €450 per flight-hour in fuel alone [7-seater Piagio]. Perhaps chartering airplanes would be a different matter, if fully booked.
Ah - a Piagio is a turbo-prop, this plane is a jet with a stand up cabin. Very roomy, quiet and comfortable.
Are you working for them?
jss747 Piaggio is also very roomy in the cabin (5'9" ceiling height - comparable to or better than many private jets). Also very quiet.

let the good times role! enjoy life, it's the only one we have, gorgeous wife with much respect.
What a cool experience this must have been. Your wife is beautiful and you're a lucky guy. I got a kick out of her cuteness too.
Cool. She looks so genuinely in awww of the experience. She’s a keeper. :)
She was so appreciative. Great vid, too.
She was so appreciative! LMAO

I Saw Lot's Of Flight Videos, but Everytime Only Two People's Flying Without Tickets In Cockpit 😂
JSS747
Thats pretty awesome...I tried that doing that for my 20th anniversary but the cost was crazy....
Looks like you and your bride had a nice day. Thanks for sharing!!
You guys are a good example of what a good marriage can and should be !
You two seem so sweet together :3
Also thanks for taking the video! Its really awesome :) how much did it cost for that trip in a private jet by the way?
I'm not sure about general traffic, but our corporate jet (which is a bit bigger) costs about $50,000 per hour of airtime.
I think a charter is usually going to be somewhere around $20,000 for a flight like this, which isn't super long.
Well there's a number of factors that make a corporate jet a better option than flying commercial. First off, it's much nicer. The seats are bigger, the food's better, and it's a lot quieter than any commercial jet I've been on. Well it depends on the time for one thing, but I've flown Detroit-Bejing for about $15,000 before
I also know for a fact that flying from our California offices to London around Christmas time will run you well over 20 grand
Cute wife! "Can I take a picture?" Lol nice video bud, that's how I travel haha I wish!
What we have here is the 1% in full effect, skirting rush hour traffic of the other 99%. LMAO
The 1% covers everybody making $385,000+ per year. You aren't going to be flying private regularly unless you're clearing a solid million+ per year.
Dan Metzler
Unless it was a rental. A one time rental. LOL
Even then, it costs as much as a car. We have a small fleet of jets at work reserved for the higher level execs, and it costs about $50,000/hour of airtime. They've got couches and a kitchen or bedroom and usually a stewardess or two, but I doubt one this size would be much cheaper.
Dan Metzler
$50,000? You do realize that I have the same Google as you right? You could rent a damn 737-BJ for that price. LOL
Yeah the biggest one is a 737 I believe. The others run 8-10k per hour and are decent-sized gulfstreeams
Just because the husband knows more about flying than she does does not mean she's flown before. I lived with someone for nearly 11 years who had flown before and I have never set foot on a plane in my life. Just saying. Maybe she's never taken a flight on a small jet before. Very nice experience...She looked very excited to be on the plane.
How much did it cost you?
Nice! Thanks for posting.
Hello, can you please talk about turbulance? Was their alot of it on that small plane?
Very cool, I used to fly a Hawker 900xp and our company allowed us to take family on empty legs.
the wife is awesome love her comment just before the captain hits full power for take off blahahahha she reminds me of my wife
Nice video. Thanks for posting!
That's some really clean footage! What kind of camera are you using?
Ahhhh! The innocence of the wife asking if it is ok to take photo after take-off. So cute! She is a little doll. Did she get an opportunity to apply for membership of the Half Mile High Club?
Whew, that's a long flight. I've driven from Cleveland to Akron. Even takes longer. I had to take a break about half way.
Where you flying with the windows down?? Seems very loud for a private aircraft.
lol yes. Because if you fly with the windows up, you'll run out of oxygen
It seems like the cabin is awful noisy.
Lucky guy. I'm not talking about the plane which is nice too, though.
Wife looks so happy !!!!! que viva el amor(let love live)
I have always wanted to take a ride on a biz jet. Still haven't gotten there. Nice video.
I've only gotten to ride in a private jet once. It was awesome. If I had a lot of money, I would do it all the time! LOL!
1:57 what a beauty in an awesome aircraft!
awesome feeling to fly in one of these babies. kick ass video
Nice one, thanks!
Holy crap the zoom on your camera is amazing!!!! What kind of camera?!
Very nice. Thanks for sharing!
I'd love to fly one. But if I had 3 hours to spend in one as a passenger, I'd rather go first class in a 737 or better. Or better yet get a line of 3 seats to myself in Y. But great vid! Thanks for sharing.
sweet, question regarding turbulence.. do you really feel the bumps more so than a commercial flight? How about with a bigger jet, G5/G6 etc?
You don't feel the bumps anymore than a commercial flight for the most part. I have never had someone complain about turbulence wishing they were on a commercial flight instead of a private jet.
jss747
I think people would gladly take the bumpiest ride ever to be on a private jet.
jss747 On a short flight your altitude is not as high as a longer flight I believe. Private jets generally fly higher than commercial planes on long flights. I never experienced any more turbulence. maybe less. I did love looking into the open cockpit to watch the landings . . . especially at night.
Is there a deleted scenes follow up? I'm assuming this is just the highlights??
Great video! What an awesome opportunity.
Just caught this at random. Nice video brother! I see it was Ben's leg...he's a great pilot! I like how you walk to the plane at Atlantic but the flight originates in CAK. ;-)
