Man, what a talent! No self-impersonation... she just gets better with age like a fine wine. Great songs, thoughtfully sung and beautifully played. I’ve been a rock musician for more than 50 years, and of all the people who have been inspirational to me, if I could sit down and play music for a session with any one of them, I’d have a tough time choosing between Liz Phair and Jeff Beck. I didn’t think she could top her original recording performance of Explain It To Me, but she did! The geezer accompanying her on guitar and backup vocals was excellent too. They really listened to each other in this performance. Liz, if you ever see this comment... thanks for the many decades of musical enjoyment you’ve given.
Do you wonder what it is like, being an artist this side of middle age, with an oeuvre of not only excellent, well-crafted songs, but also more than a handful that are iconic and defining of an era? What's that like, Liz?
Wow, her voice has never sounded better. And she has never looked better, beautiful woman. You have a point Liz, maybe I, in reality, shouldn't even exist. So Bearish. I dig the Unicorn. Don't cry to me, if you loved meYou would be here with meYou want me, come find meMake up your mind
The unicorn... Liz has never been sexually repressed.. Why not add horniness where you can?!! She looks incredible and sounds even better. Liz for President 😉😁👍🏼💞⭐
Crisp clear fidelity, extrodinary rhythm chops no need for percussion on this on this beautiful performance by incredible human genius.Where do you get muse from?We need more people like her in the world.
I got into Liz Phair when I was in grad school at UC Berkeley and listening to KALX ... when Exile in Guyville came out. Because the KALX DJ said it was a response to Exile on Main Street (one of my favorite albums ever) I went right down to Rasputins or Amoeba and bought it. I never really got any connection with Exile on Main Street, but I was just *mesmerized* by it nonetheless. It stands on its own. With regards to THIS video - OMG she is aging very well.
Liz and Sheryl Crow are on my Mt. Rushmore of girls who rock with the biggest balls. Unfortunately, sheryl is not still writing at the high level Liz still is. This is as good as anything Liz has ever done. Sheryl peaked after The Globe Sessions.
When I saw you on Morning Joe this morning I figured I'd give your music another listen...and I still find it abrasive and somewhat lacking in substance...it just doesn't "BITE"...but maybe it's some artist's taste...and approach to songwriting and structure...but never fear Stevie Nicks is still writing "angst" in her old age...so if there's a fanbase go for it...Good Luck with the AM/Garbage tour...

I forgot how much I love Liz Phair. Thank you.

Recently turned my 16 year old daughter onto Exile in Guyville. Glad Liz is coming out with new music. Great music and musicans age well.
You are parent of the year. Great album!
I love her guitar playing.

What's that like, Liz?
"Soberish" could very easily be a hit song on the country charts, given what we heard. Wonderful to see her perform live again.
I love her so much! ❤ 'Soberish' actually made me cry! Lol 😢 Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album. 💕
Looking great, she is a bona fide rock star! Thank you for posting, stay safe ❤️
She delivers real uniqueness with this song, I want to see her invited as a musical guest, on a talk show . 📺( StaySafe)...
liz I love you sooooo much !
This is really a great little set! These songs sound great with her acoustic playing - wish it was longer!
Still love her music and still think she's absolutely beautiful
That was just so so good !!!
Liz is just so talented, unique and brilliant. And beautiful. What a great performance.
OMG!!!!! FABULOUS!!!!
Some of the looks she gives are fantastic. Very expressive!
Great session! I love Liz Phair so much and she's such an inspiration to me. Came here just to share some love
This was GREAT!!! Still got it, sista!
"I meant to be sober but the bar's so inviting" is such a great line! Thanks, Liz!
Mesmerizing!
Thank you. Great show. Unfortunate it took this long to pop up on my recommended feed, but I'm glad it did.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Sounds excellent and your guitar/vocal cohort complements your songs perfectly. He has great energy.
still in love with you Liz

saw Liz at Wolf Trap 2019...outstanding!! great upload here!
I can't wait for this QUEEN to release her new album. One of my favorite singer-songwriters of all time forever!
Great video. Love the new album “Soberish”. 👍😁
I really liked her latest album, “Soberish”. I think it’s her best songwriting since Whip-Smart. Her singing is also better than it’s ever been!
It's a great album, just listened to it yesterday
Damn! She still looks great! Sounds great too.
Time has treated her well. My #1 celebrity crush from my teenage years.
Thank you
Smokin'! All of this
Outstanding
Legend. 👏🏻

We are always here
Unlike some artists, she seems to have gotten much better with age. This was a great set! 🙌
Polyester Bride is one of my all time favorites. Seems to me her singing has improved
For sure, she sounds and looks great!

May Queen in fact 😜

Love the juicy guitar tone on Explain it To Me.
Still aiming at all the right targets. Class, humor, sass, balls.
Fun!
I love you Liz. Ive been playing for 42 years, I want to jam with you
There is no place else
I love Liz Phair’s music as much as she loves to not play songs from Whip-Smart.
Liz is the Sharon Stone of music. Or vice versa. Both push boundaries we still understand today.
Excellent analogy
Pre-gaming for seeing the exile show at the Ryman in a few days. Man this is an awesome set. Who is her guitarist? That is such a great session.
The first part of the first song sounds like something by the Traveling Wilburys, I think.
What's better, Exile In Main street or Guyville
Cool
...oh my
Why isn't the music insync with the video? She only played for 23 minutes ! That's not a set, that's an horderve.
I ran the stop sign in the dark
So you play guitar?

Nice guitars

She sings so out of tune it makes my ears bleed.
