    I started tithing 4 years ago and He’s changed my life supernaturally in ways I can’t put into words. The Lord is so faithful. I’ve also noticed tithing makes me most spiritually disciplined in other areas of my life, so my debt has stayed down and I’m still debt free and it’s a blessing to give freely when those opportunities come up!

    That is exactly our story!!!...We can't afford Not to tithe!...Our biggest revalation was the part in the verse that says that tithing will hold back the hand of the devourer. Lets face it the enemy is always waiting to attack christians! He wants you broken, and destroyed. The spiritual principal of tithing actually puts a realm of protection over you esp in the area of finances!!..We have seen this so clearly, before we started tithing even tho we made good money, or enough money, every single month it seemed like the money came in and went right back out the door again with the craziest things, we would have something stolen or a car break down or some emergency bill the list went on and on. Once we started tithing it felt like we could finally keep some of the money we had been working so hard for, it was like it was protected. And believe me every time we were not faithful, or started taking matters into our own hands again. Things started to happen that made it really clear we had stepped out of the bubble of protection and obedience.. That is why we also firmly believe we cannot afford Not to tithe!!

      No no no. Do not let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. Giving freely, generously, and cheerfully does not keep track of every penny. When things get tight every now and then, and you’re sitting there counting up all that you’ve given in tithes and offerings, you’ll be tempted to believe God is holding out on you, and develop a “it’s not fair” attitude, and the next thing you know you’re all mad and bitter. The tithing law isn’t for New Testament believer’s. Also they gave multiple types of tithes. Anytime it was converted to money, you were instructed to add an additional 1/5. Read it yourself in Leviticus. This is error. We are to give freely as we purpose in our hearts.

    • @AlexisSustento

      As a former reformed, I was once highly critical of these matters until it reached a point where I was working only nine hours per week, living paycheck to paycheck. God has blessed me immensely, and He has remained faithful to His words. We cannot claim to follow scripture alone if we only choose what we like and reject what we don't like. God challenges us to test Him on this, and I did. The God we worship today is the same God the people of the Old Testament worshipped; the only difference is that the New Covenant offers better promises. Be blessed.

    • @AlexisSustento
      @AlexisSustento 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@simplecomplexmen I believe that's your perception; it never crossed my mind that tithing is blessing us. We believe God is the one blessing us, and we tithe because we acknowledge that everything we have belongs to God. What is 10 percent given back to God? In fact, we can never outgive God. Also the bible says to test Him on this and I did. Indeed God has rebuked the devourer for my sake. It came to a point I have nothing left on my bank account but God is a faithful covenant keeper. I also believe that the main issue here is really obedience. Do we really believe what the bible says or we only choose what we like and reject what we don't like. Also we don't give out of compulsion, we must be cheerful givers.

    • @simplecomplexmen
      @simplecomplexmen 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@AlexisSustento God owns 100% , so it all belongs to him. There are churches that teach against tithing not giving and they are blessed too. They should be devoured according to your position. The scripture clearly explains the purpose of tithing and why they were receiving the tithes. That’s what we follow, not anecdotal evidence. I’m glad God moved in your life, but you have to reconcile the reasons with scripture not just your personal feelings about it. Share some New Testament scripture. There is none. Lev. 27 explains tithing. We are obedient to scripture not to a personal testimony. Otherwise we would be all over the place. Believers testify about things that conflict with scripture all of the time. It’s ok to give freely as the spirit leads or a designated amount that your heart desire’s. Let’s not add to scripture to make ourselves appear more godly than the next. If you want to give 10, 20, 5, 50 percent, just do it with the proper heart condition.

    • @AlexisSustento
      @AlexisSustento 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@simplecomplexmen Your inclination seems to lean more towards intellectual pursuits than the supernatural. Please read Malachi 3:10-11. The word of God is infallible, but our interpretation may not be. If our opinions don’t align with scripture, we are the ones in error. While we follow the word of God, anecdotal evidence only supports the living faith we already have. The Bible also says we overcome the enemy by the blood and the word of our testimonies, so do not despise testimonies; rather, test them first to see if they align with the word of God. We don’t go around disagreeing with things we don’t yet understand or haven’t experienced. You said it yourself, let’s not appear more godly than the next and must decide in our hearts what we want to give whether it be 10-50%. Having knowledge is one thing, but applying it is wisdom.
      Apostle Paul, in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7, encourages believers to give to the church willingly and cheerfully. He emphasizes that the amount given is a personal decision, not to be done reluctantly or under compulsion. The passage underscores the principle of sowing and reaping, suggesting that generous giving leads to abundant blessings.
      To sum it all up, God owns everything, even the very air that we breathe comes from Him and we can never out give him, So what is 10-50% percent giving back to God?

      Jesus said "Give to God what belongs to God (your first and best) and to Caesar what belongs to Caesar" So clearly there is a principal in Giving to God. Jesus also said "I have not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill or complete the law" Now there are no churches that I know of who will excommunicate you if you are not tithing, or a governance that will haul you to jail for not tithing so yes in essence we are not under the "law to tithe" we have that freedom of choice, but many of us know the spiritual principal of tithing and that blessing is still available to followers of God today! (Also the "New Testament" starts when Jesus Christ came into the world when Jesus was born!..you are in essence saying as a Jesus follower you would rather follow Paul, then the very words of Jesus Christ!

      This couple were blessed in their giving a tithe and more so they were blessed with money so they could give others.
      According to your faith, be it unto you. Jesus said. Their faith was in giving a tithe and then more. Don't condemn what God honors.

    REPENT FOR THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND TURN FROM SIN AND TURN TOWARDS RIGHTEOUSNESS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS

      Amen, Jesse! Your words remind us of the urgency to align our lives with God's will. Indeed, repentance and righteousness through Christ Jesus prepare us for His imminent return. Let's stay vigilant and steadfast in our faith, living each day in readiness for His glorious coming. As it's written in Matthew 24:44, "Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." May we all heed this call and be found faithful when He returns. Amen.

    I can imagine Judas Iscariot was looking for the windows of heaven to open and didn't know his blessing was only poured out in the spiritual realm he wanted a physical blessing so he did the worst thing ever that can't be undone that's suicide.

      The book of Hebrews says Jesus is now our High Priest, so High Priests have ministries that deserve to be tithed to. Of which the tithe was demonstrated through Abraham before the law. Our High Priest now and forever is Jesus and His ministries are your local Trinitarian churches who are Spirit-filled and Spirit- led and are preaching/teaching the true gospel. So give your tithe to your current and forever High Priest, Jesus, at your local Trinitarian born-again, Spirit-filled church, so the leaders God has placed there can build up the Body of Christ.

    Extorting money from the less fortunate through an errant biblical interpretation of what tithing was isn't something to be celebrated. There's no such thing as a biblical tithe received from earned wages. Monetizing the tithe as a deliverable was man's idea after the bible was written.

      Try tithing and not tithing , you will notice a big difference in prayers being answered . Jesus is our High Priest forever and ever. ( see Hebrews). Jesus has ministries, namely the born-again, Spirit-filled and Spirit-led Trinitarian local churches all around the world. Give your tithe to your High Priest, Jesus, and He will bless you.

      @@frick6946 Yes, Jesus is our High Priest forever and nowhere in the Bible does it state that continually paying money to a religious institution is the equivalent of “Jesus receiving tithes”. It's literally impossible to tithe to Jesus, but there's nothing wrong with tithing as a discretionary act of systematic giving, to a church or otherwise, money or otherwise. We're free to give, not bound to pay.

      it is biblical; it started before the law and was under the law and Jesus is now our High Priest.
