Hello I watched your video. your content is really great. I also have an audi a8 D3 vehicle. Thieves stole the keyless buttons on my vehicle's door handles. I wonder if I can only find these buttons. I have been searching for a long time and I could not find the buttons. It is sold with the door handle everywhere. This is also very expensive. My other question is, if I have to buy these door handles, I wonder if the d4's door handles fit our door handles. Your ideas are very valuable to me. I wonder your thoughts. thank you.
Both my front door buttons don't work. I tried to take the handle apart, i took the door panel off and window out and got the handle out, but the switch is sealed underneath the handle. I did not think to take the rubber out, but from your video, it does not look to be a way to fix it. Perhaps dremeling out the epoxy from underneath the switch to remove it and repair it that way. New handles with buttons don't come painted so I don't like that idea.
I've seen that but I'm not sure if it's feasible since it's sealed with epoxy. The door still open, I just don't want to drill and screw everything UP. Try it and let us know.
I've thought about doing it quite a bit. I may buy a used one and try it on that first. Just as a test to see how difficult it would be so I don't mess my door handle up. If I can find one this week, I'll do it and let you know sometime within the next two weeks.
Do you think all 4 door handles are interchangeable? Like the actual handle part itself. I am certain that the inside piece is not, but all 4 handles on the outside look the same. front left handles are hard to find. But I do see a lot of rear handles for sale on eBay. I think I am going to buy one and test that as well. What color is your car?
From what I found, all 4 door handles are the same. The bracket inside the door that the door handles connect to are what differentiates them. The handles come off the bracket pretty easily by tapping out the hinge pin. I ordered some used ones off eBay and I am going to attempt fixing the handles I remove. On mine, the sensor works fine when I touch the handle, its just the buttons that dont work.
Some Russian forum has a write up with pics showing how to fix and solve on a new micro switch. You have to cut or drill two screws to separate the handle parts. If I find it I will post back.
@@3dogs1monkey me personally I wouldn't attempt to replace one looks very difficult especially removing the door panel. . I will leave to a professional. ..might be little expensive but it could be more if you don't know how to change one.... I also enjoy your videos. .. I learned much more about my Audi a8Lquattro thanks.

Quartz Gray I believe. I think they're the same front and rear, not sure about left and right
