Like everyone else, I really appreciate the overview of the area and the explanation of the underlying activity.

Thank you so much for this. I had not lost one eyelash of sleep over this, but learning the full geologic background was exciting.

Thanks for taking the time to give us this superb explanation of what is going on at these spots. I am now surprised the Park allow people to get so close.

So glad you posted this, your intro to Geology courses you put up here got me back into rock collecting and I have quite the stash developing already. Yellowstone is such an amazing feature and I'm so lucky to have been able to visit it (no rocks from there, promise!) and it's a great reminder that while it's not often a human timescale, the Earth is constantly changing around us.

Information very well presented. Speaking as a layman, this was logical and easily digested. Your work is much appreciated.

The media tends to sensationalize everything. Yellowstone is a geological gift but also mother nature at work. Stay safe and smart when visiting there or any geologically active region.

Does the rising temperature of the earth effect the geysers and pools?

It seems that the real cause is that the North American craton, and its Southwesterly movement is that Sapphire Pool to Black Diamond Pool has changed that distance of geological drift of the craton, ... much like watching the historical geology of the Hawaiian hot spot chain of islands, ... or the historical geology of the Yellowstone hot spot volcanic trail from California, via Nevada, into the Montana/Wyoming Yellowstone area.

wonderful video. only thing i would change is normalizing the volume (audio normalization), because it is not ideal when family members wake up to the sound of a yelling woman. hehehe. keep up the good work.

So, I never heard what I wanted to know, will the Super Volcano at Yellowstone begin the process of exploding again and devastate the U.S.?
