    Oh my God, I swear you're really amazing. You explained it very, very well. I did watch many videos on TH-cam, but no one explained them as you did. Thank you a lot.

    Thank you Anthony! I have been away from Wordpress and Divi for a few years and have been feeling a little anxious about getting back into them. Your clear, calm way of working through Divi Theme Builder is very encouraging and comforting. I have never associated those words with web development before, but there we are. :)

      I'm so glad that you found this helpful!
      Incidentally, I've been considering jumping back into making video tutorials (been focused more on the blog side lately). If you have any questions or areas where you need help, let me know!

      Courage & Grow I have to tell you that I haven’t finished the video yet and that’s because it’s made me so much more confident about changing settings in Divi. I do plan to finish it this weekend so I can update the post text layout too. Your teaching is great! Thanks again.

      @@courageandgrow Be careful what you wish for 🤣🤣🤣 I've been struggling with buttons - changing default settings/use custom settings and I can't seem to get it to use the global defaults I set... Are there glitches there that I don't know about or am I just not understanding it. PS. I found this via the FB Divi Theme Users group, and I could go ask there since I haven't found any posts about it.

    Great video, thank you! Would you happen to be able to point me out into the direction where I can find a tutorial of how to set up WP so contributing staff can easily add their content (blog posts), which then gets styled the way you helped me do it in the divi template? Thanks for thinking along with me in advance!

    • @courageandgrow
      @courageandgrow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Dennis -
      If you set up your Theme Builder template to target all posts, it should style every post on your site, regardless of who submitted it.
      Then, if the contributing staff members don't have accounts already, you'll want to create them (Dashboard > Settings > Users). Be sure to watch out for which Role you assign each user; you'll likely want to select either Editor or Author.
      (Editors can create posts and edit posts from any user; Authors can create posts, but cannot edit anyone's but their own.)
      Does this answer your question? (If you still have questions, definitely let me know! I might be able to create a tutorial video for you.)

    • @dennisvideosvoorinholland792
      @dennisvideosvoorinholland792 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@courageandgrow Yes it does, thank you! Its basically the way you set up the Divi template, right? It overrides the settings users allocate to the blog posts.
      And is there any plugin that makes it easy for editors/authors to write blog posts? The users in mind are around 70 (!) yrs old and as I didn't use WP in a couple of years, I was surprised by the amount of options the regular editor, as well as the divi creator have in regards to creating a blog post. I think something along the lines of basic text formatting, a picture, MAYBE a table or link (embedded) youtube video?
      I will be checking out your other video's in the near future, I like the way you explain things. Not too short but certainly not too long/windy! Thanks!

    • @courageandgrow
      @courageandgrow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dennisvideosvoorinholland792 So, I think what you're talking about, in terms of the options in the editor, is WordPress' shift from the Classic Editor to the Gutenberg Editor.
      I can definitely understand how the new editor might be a bit of a shock to folks who were used to Classic. Also, if there's a possibility of those folks learning the new editor, I'd recommend that from a long-term standpoint.
      Do you think a video explaining Gutenberg for folks who need just the absolute basics would be helpful?

    • @courageandgrow
      @courageandgrow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dennisvideosvoorinholland792 Also, yep, your first sentence was right. The Theme Builder template (if set up the way I outlined in the video, which it sounds like you did) automatically overrides the styling for every blog post that's published.

    I have created a default template for all post layouts in Divi theme but when I create new post and made some changes to it, those changes are also reflected in the main all post-template, it's like whenever I'm creating a new post whatever changes I do in this post this changes will also happen in the other old posts too, it like I'm making changes or editing the global all post-template...please help me in handling this issue

    • @courageandgrow
      @courageandgrow  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So, to confirm what you're saying:
      1. You created a template in the Theme Builder
      2. But, when you edit an individual post, changes reflect globally
      Is that right?

    Great video Anthony!.... I do have a question, though, about where the posts end up. So when I "View" the post from the Dashboard, my template is applied to the post and everything looks great. But when I am on my actual website in normal viewing mode, and go to my "Blog" page, the post comes up in the awful generic WordPress template look. I think I must be missing a step to bring that template in the Blog portion of my website. I hope I described that correctly. :)

    • @courageandgrow
      @courageandgrow  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Erich - Can you give me an example of what you're talking about?

    • @ErichMillerTV
      @ErichMillerTV 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@courageandgrow I think I figured out my problem. I think it was that I had a custom body template for my posts, and then my WordPress settings for my Posts page was set to "Blog". As soon as I unselected Blog, it works now lol. So I guess I am going to leave well enough alone.
