  • One of Bhagavan Ramana's favourite traditional spiritual works was the Ribhu Gita.
He is reported to have said that if one repeatedly read Chapter 26 of the
Ribhu Gita one could pass spontaneously into Samadhi, or the natural state of Self realization. Later in life Bhagavan related how surprised he was at the time to
hear an exact description of his own state recited in the Ribhu Gita and that it had been
experienced by others and was the bliss of the Self sought after by all true seekers.

For real. I love the simplicity of these teachings. Most dharmic traditions seem to start promising and then quickly become so dogmatic and complicated I can't tell which way is up. Just another form of the mind needlessly subdividing and categorizing illusion.

DIVINE TOGETHER WITH All the Best of Every Good Wish to You, Sir; Forever & BEYOND! Ja? As Ramana states, "It doesn't matter whether you understand it or not; it will still be very good for you to read or listen to it daily." As, another great sage stated, "Understanding is a movement in consciousness which you are not."

Much like in ashtavakra gita it is funny how many times the instructions "be happy" are given. So many people focus on so much of the other stuff and forget that instruction.

@@adithya9710679609 enlightenment doesn't exist. It's a tricky description of death that get's the seeker to recognize they would rather be alive. No problem. No Pre-Requisites. Be As You Are. Here and now.

@@jtmacri1I beg to differ. If it was that easy to reach that state. Then there no is you I and youtube. We are in Duality and we artificially jump into Non Duality theoretically. Yes it's TRUE only Brahman exists. But we have to reach it through experience like how Ramana Maharishi and Buddha did. It takes lifetime's. Even Ramana Maharishi who attained a near death experience at the age of 12 had to spend 10 years meditating in a Cave. Why ? The answer is to find out what exists beyond the beyond
. The one who has reached that highest state wont even say a word until and unless he wants to uplift others from the terrible ocean of birth and death. Vedas talk about steps such as Karma Yoga, bhakti yoga, Raja Yoga as Pre requisites for to Jnana Yoga (Liberation). It is also said in the age if Kali Vedas will be neglected. In a nutshell, Self realization or enlightenment is a gift given by higher beings to us and it is not right. We are not the Doer. The doer is God/awareness. If we were the God we can control anything and everything. We can't even control a virus and hence Kundalini feminine energy cant be forced. She rises when the aspirant is ready and deserves liberation. The qualities required as Humility, pious credits/good karma and Bhakti (Love towards God and all living beings). The fruit becomes ready to eat when ripe. Yes whatever I mentioned above is Duality. But you are also in Duality. Proof is that you have a Mind and you use the word I". Sages like ramana maharshi never used drugs and attained self realization spontaneously. They were truly blessed

@@adithya9710679609 I will try to answer each point. First I would say that you have probably been traveling a spiritual path for a long time and that is good. Is there any harm in going back through some of it through the lens of what I have said and then seeing what happens?
Differing is natural. The life experiences of Ramana or the Buddha certainly all must have happened in order for them to be themselves. Everything from 10 years in a cave to every time they urinated. Of course who you are conceptualizing is not who they are. Who you are conceptualizing them to be is not a thing. It is a concept. Things are as they are because the entire universe is as it is. All things together at once. Mutual Arising. 1 thing that can only be one thing. Non-dual.
This me you think you are talking to exists in concepts as well. This me that I am exists in the absolute state alone. In fact, you are also in the absolute state but you are not aware of it.
Self realization was indeed a gift. You had nothing to do with it's coming but you have everything to do with its going.
Passed lives, karma, bhakti all exist only as concepts. They are the chains of gold that the seeker wears to feel superior or more fit for life. They are the chains that the finder of truth has removed. This is why you will often here that sages no longer have rebirths and that they no longer accrue the affects of karma.
I yes have a mind. But it is the only mind I know and in it arises all minds. And all the bodies. And all the things. Without those things I would have no mind. Without my mind there would be no things. Buddha had a mind. Ramana Maharshi says "I".
Reality is in front of you and here for the taking. It is true that there is only one absolute reality. Believe in yourself. Believe in you experience. Look around here and now. Free yourself from concepts and recognize that you have always been in the absolute state. You are already self realized.
Now if you like the way Ramana Maharshi behaved and that is what you are after then I expect you should get a loincloth and focus on the pure bliss of being. If you liked the way the Buddha behaved I suppose you should form a precise school of yoga. But in order to be like someone else then you must create a concept of who you are now and who you should be. Then you will have 2 false selves and won't make very good progress as a spiritual teacher.
Reality is here and now. It is also the only reality. It is also all 1 thing that has no alternative. Jump in and realize you were already there.

    • @adithya9710679609
      @adithya9710679609 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@jtmacri1 Thank you for such a wonderful detailed answer. Absolutely true. Reality is here and now which means Time and space are also an illusion. I also agree to the fact that one must uncover the sheaths and the truth is already present (proof is in the pudding). Reminds me of Ramana maharshi's quote "once the false ego disappears Realization results by itself." For the false ego to disappear heart needs to be purified. Why ? Karma is the reason we take births and deaths. Karmic account is like the most safest bank account. It is safely protected by the almighty. As the great sage Baba Guru Nanak says "Ones own actions drawer closer and farther to the supreme) We reap what we harvest. Through continuos good pious actions such as (Charity work done without boasting or taking pride , selfless service, running a Goshala (shelter for Cows, vedic rituals and penances to please ones own chosen form of divine being and chanting mantras or hymns, singing devotional songs about the divine) gradually opens up the heart and remind divine being becomes the beloved. Then through Bhakti Yoga one worships God out of ecstatic love and devotion and then gradually realizes through Raja/Jnana yoga that divine is a part of him. This is the beginning of Non Duality. As Ramana Maharshi says Plunge the purified mind into the spiritual heart and that's it Nirvana is right there. This is what I meant When I said Karma and Bhakti yoga are pre-requisites to purify Mind. Until till heart craves for desires, the Mind also continues to waver like a Whirlpool. Buddha is a master of similes but he could not come up with a simile to predict the instability of the human mind. I have read the ribhu and ashtavakra gita as well and these were one of the favorite works of Rmana maharshi. The point is Brahman is inconceivable and incomprehensible by human minds because Brahman is the source of all. Any name or form is an abstraction. The Map is not the territory. But i am firmly against Neo advaita because one falsely assumes that exalted state and thinks that everything is an illusion theoretically or through drugs like DMT or a LSD trip where one gets a sneak peak into Brahman but think that experience is permanent.

This is where I am at with that right now. Not sure if it is helpful. I find in most spiritual teachings the resolving of apparent paradoxes and contradictions is where the truth lies. The teachers pose problems fully expecting you to come up with conclusions. What mindset would one need to adopt that all teachings are true? Ultimately that is the only way to teach a mindset. Only the student can really change their mind so they have to get there on their own.
This is how I ultimately resolved that particular paradox, speaking of non-duality from within duality.
In the phenomenal universe duality is not present either. Duality only exists as a concept in the mind. We do not live in a dual world. Uni-verse. The duality starts with the separation concept. The illusory concept of an individual awareness and of independent parts. One universe with one awareness all moving together. Even the illusion of the individual self is part of the dance.

Perceive has a notion of time attached to it.. What ribu geetha point out is happiness which is never born.. Happiness that never die.. Happiness with out bound of time.. Happiness that cannot be enjoyed.. Cos their is an enjoyer.. Its pointing to be happy.. Not to enjoy happiness cos their is an enjoyer..
