How she found new ways to make the absolute worst possible line read choice every time is amazing. Her and Tracey Ullman were the untouched MVPs of the season.
Sorry for the spelling errors but it's hard to chew toenails and foot calluses and dictate to my phone at the same time. So excuse the spelling errors above it was a toughie
The legendary Allison Jones (The Office, Veep, The Good Place, Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, What we Do in the Shadows and a ton of other comedies). You can see her cameo during the casting scene, along with Ben Harris, the other casting director for Curb.
Maria Sofia popping and locking during the audition tape was so hilarious 😂 "he -is not- mentaly - distuuuurbedd. and I will SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE larry. Lmfaoo 🤣 😭
Her skill level is genuinely insane!!! Her ability to make something that would otherwise be so painfully cringe inducing genuinely joyful shows insane mastery.
Larry’s facial expressions throughout kill me! Maria going from funny, to serious to scary is priceless! Loved that Cheryl actually thought they were having an acting breakthrough, before Maria pounced on her! LOL
Who thought she was having the acting breakthrough I don't think anybody thought that. The only people that like her acting was her father and later the producers said they love the screen test and thought the acting was amazing. When really the girl was flipping out and going crazy and not acting. I didn't see any scene where anybody. She had a breakthrough and was getting the hang of acting. Larry's wife said she was a worst actress ever. Am I wrong. Did I miss read your comment or did I miss a scene..
I'm going to watch it again I don't think in any part it's Cheryl Express any breakthrough or any possible hint of that lady having a stack of talent. I might add that Cheryl looked more beautiful than ever. And why does Richard Lewis look so old and unhealthy. He's not aging very well people that go bald and grey at a young age. They look old when they're young. But then they become ageless. So maybe Richard Lewis looks old because he look like he did when he was young caricaturely and a added superimposed layer of zombie and witch like homeless and Hagee Down syndrome Mongol creepy hunchback like qualities and that's the Richard Lewis portrayal we see on curb. Or perhaps his great-grandfather's playing him. Or is he doing his own makeup and Lighting. That's a Tuffy
she was only supposed to be in one epi...i think a lot of the story line was based off of her audition she was nervous and larry kept coming after her until she broke out of her shell she got hired the day after the audition....that rarely happens
I would marry that girl in a heartbeat. lol! She can cook my favorite food and crack me up all day and I'll make sure she lives a happy life. 🤣🤣 Her best picture is of her stirring frijoles. Perfect!
This part from 2:37 is so perfectly acted by Cheryl and Keyla, and the little moment of gaslighting from 2:42 to 2:55 is crafted incredibly well by Keyla...Sofia becomes objectively nuts at this moment, which is distinct from her terrible acting skills, which have already been established. It is therefore my favourite Maria Sofia moment.
That's Exces for you. What I've found is that anybody can be on TV. It's not talent that gets you there. It's who you know. You got a friend in high places, you got a job.
If they'd changed it to a comedy it would have been a hit! Maria Sofia would be famous, her dad would release the blackmail, and Larry could have saved face. Everyone wins!
I do interviews for my work, and lately we've been doing back to back interviews with garbage candidates. I am literally the older lady in the cardigan at 1:11
What's your favorite Maria Sofia moment?
i like the spy kids movies
i like sesame street. i have to take viagra sometimes in order to please my wife.
"AND I KNOW YOU STOLE MY JACKET!!"
Well, somehow I missed her gritting and pelvic thrusting "Eat them latkas!" in the show so this take had me rolling.
Season 1 through 10. Before she was on the show.

That girl is an amazing actress.
I 100% agree. Both of them were amazing
What character was Tracy Ulman?
@@olajideparisIrma kostroski, the city council woman
Strangely enough, this actress choosing to do the exact WRONG thing means she understands good acting choices are. So great!
It's like Meryl Streep in Florence Foster Jenkins. She had to learn how to sing badly.
Yessss
Acting without acting?
Right, to play a terrible actor, you are a wonderful actor, period.
The head shot cracks me up every time.
Right up there with Dr. Tobias Funke’s as the greatest head shots of all time.
👍🏼
every-single-TIME!!!!
Actor’s Studio “Old Skool”.
Whoever casts for Curb is just a genius. Every character is perfectly cast.
The legendary Allison Jones (The Office, Veep, The Good Place, Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, What we Do in the Shadows and a ton of other comedies). You can see her cameo during the casting scene, along with Ben Harris, the other casting director for Curb.
Except Vince Vaughn in my opinion. He adds nothing to the show.
They could have a better Ted Danson
@@redwoods7370 you trippin’

"I saw that choice that you made, and maybe it's time to make a new choice" Is such a universally useful line to repeat
Give this woman an Emmy
Or...a bucket of chicken wings
Have you seen episode 1 0f the new season? 😀
right??? can't believe she debuted working with Larry and Ted Danson and delivered!!! she's sooo talented!
@@sectionalsofa ahahahaha I’ve seen it now 😂
@@AnthonyMonaghan😂😂😂
The real reason why Maria Sophia is a tremendous actress is that she read Jason Alexander's best seller: Acting without Acting. Phenomenal!
she read it with dinner
😂😂😂😂😂
the "stop" gets me good everytime
Yes and the “wassup…helooo”
LMAOO it's so GOOD
She really acts like a person pulled off the street with no idea about acting at all, it's hard to believe she is actually acting, she's that good.
It's acting without acting.
@@harisa.8697 lol same
I look forward to her future roles
@@BBD-AITB this is an hilarious comment if you get it
I wish I had Maria Sofia's confidence 😆

🤣 😭
It's ironic that the whole arc of the season is based around getting rid of her when she's my favorite thing to watch ever
😂😂same!!
This is an amazing performance. Comedic, scary, pushing, terrifying and even endearing. She deserves more opportunities. Again: amazing.
Her skill level is genuinely insane!!! Her ability to make something that would otherwise be so painfully cringe inducing genuinely joyful shows insane mastery.
everybody turns in a professional headshot, her headshot is her cooking. LMAO
She stole the whole season. The table reading scene is insane!! “So you can see why … this one is a *body roll* toughie.”
Easy season to steal tbh
She was my favorite character this season, she’s AMAZING. We need more of her! 😍
ewww yer hot for her, don't lie !

@@LASVEGASREALTOR 4:16 Watch the expressions on Cheryl's face before Maria goes ballistic.
The most exciting thing happened in Curb in a long time. Brilliant!! I hope she comes back.
She needs her own show as her dad blackmails people to give her acting jobs. I love, love love her
I’d watch it
I can't take my eyes off of her. She is just brilliant and an absolute joy to watch!
And she is so pretty
It takes true talent to be that bad. She nails it and is also the furthest away thing from nailing it possible. Incredible
Her and Tracey Ullman was the standouts this season. They both had me 🤣🤣🤣.
“Eat them Latkas” has never been said with such gusto! An Emmy must be given to this actress! She is awesome!❤
I have no idea how it’s possible for this show to keep getting better and better with every season but they pull it off 😂
I died laughing when I saw this episode when he said "you're too thin, you're like a rail" and the character is supposed to be a ballerina
The way MS says she’s at a good weight! Is it the anorexic teen hating her dad? Or is this MS’s “jacket” trigger? SO funny!
Ironically Keyla is an amazing actress to be able to pull off such colossally bad acting
Larry's face 🤣🤣🤣🤣 She is hysterically funny. It must be so much fun to be a part of this.
She’s the greatest actress to ever grace the screen
She's one of the most hilarious characters since Leon
Maria Sofia is the best Curb Your Enthusiasm character addition since Larry David!
And JB Smoove
The Face of LD when she gives her headshot is priceless. That piece of acting should be converted into a NFT worth 20 Ethereum.
She's the absolute Queen of Cringe! The perfect addition to this show. I hope we haven't seen the last of her!
She makes this my favorite Curb season.
She is so excellent in this role!
a Emmy for Maria Sofía
1:28 The NOOOO killed me
its the confidence she has while failing that makes it all come together
No Emmy nomination for her = no justice. Absolutely FRICKIN HILARIOUS!
she may not get one from this...but she signed with uta and is getting tons of work
The guy playing the casting director is Ben Harris, the real-life casting director who probably cast her in the show. Luv it!
she was only supposed to be in one epi...i think a lot of the story line was based off of her audition
she was nervous and larry kept coming after her until she broke out of her shell
she got hired the day after the audition....that rarely happens
I wish there was more Maria Sophia in the season.
no kidding?????
I don't like cringe comedy usually. But this girl...this girl is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.

It takes a really good actor to play a terrible actor. She’s incredible.
She's ATTRACTIVE❤
This is one of the best scenes this season!!!!!
What a great comedian she is!This is gold 😊
"My boo-bay"... Hahahaha!!!!
Maria Sofia - Keyla Monterroso Mejia, is an excellent actress
She’s amazing and specifically sifted through clips for her storyline
1:17s Larry's face after Maria Sofia says, " This - is a good weight for me" LMAO
Exec: ""We saw her audition tape, and ... we didn't like it ..."
Larry and Jeff: "Eh." "It happens."
Exec: "We loved it."
Best character on the show hands down. I couldn't breathe through the whole audition and fell on the floor when she was screaming about the jacket
“Get off of me Uncle Moe!”😂😂😂😂

Reading too much into it but yea
I love Sophia.Maria she should have her own show as she struggles to make it in Hollywood while working at the family restaurant.
It's as if she fundamentally misunderstands human behavior in all aspects 😅
😂
she hit every line like she wrote it
The show is improvised.
5:04 “aaaggggh bring it on I can take both of you“ 😂

The most painfully awful yet hilarious CYE characters of all time. I think the word cringe was created for every moment from her😂😂😂

Maria Sofia is the best thing that happened in tv in 2021
I totally agree.
I am a huge fan of this actress though. She was perfectly cast and I would love to see the out takes of her performance
Maria Sophia makes me so hilariously uncomfortable - she hits a spot in my brain that’s never been utilized & JARS it into existence!
😂😂😂
What an incredible Comedy infusion to this story line. Maria Sofia, Her father, So damn funny!
"Cheryl, what are you doing?!"
(pushes Ted aside like a rack of lamb) "Get off me, uncle-Moe!"
I’m taking my acting cues from this young lady! The dance moves really sell it! Now i just need an inside connection!
Curb Your Enthusiasm has so many fabulous episodes I lost count. However, this one…..priceless.
She made me feel very uncomfortable I would like feel anxiety when she would be in a scene. Props to the boss LD 👏.
