This , regardless of Tobin diehards that say this mix is Shit, is an incredible remix feat, and Bonobo as well as Fink, are incredibly underrated, but I feel that adds to their appeal for me. These people are second to none, or at least few.
I think it's fine. I'm a HUGE Tobin fan, but I'm a big Bonobo fan too and don't think this is anywhere near the best of his work. Part of the problem is that Ninja Tune copyright striked the original song, so people are bent out of shape on having to be forced to listen to this version. Go easy on us. 😛
Yo, I've just listened to the original version on JANGO Radio! Actually I had never listened to any of the two versions, but I can say now the original feels a little more "iconic" and immediately recognisable.
I'm lucky to own a cd copy with the original track, it happens to be the song that got me hooked on AT and to this day i consider it his finest track ever. Sadly this remix doesn´t even begin to make it justice. I wish AT released a cleaned up version using an alternative sample which preserved the punch of the original
It was wiped from the net. It was on a British ad for Nissan Qashqai. With the car trying to outrun giant paint balls if my memory serves me correctly. Tried to find it myself to no avail. Someone left a link below for another version 👇 other than that I suggest you try to buy an older second hand original album. Good luck 🤞
