Is anyone else amazed how Warren just jumps in and takes down the most complicated, heavy, impossible to get at systems with seemingly no stress? And the knowledge of every bolt, shaft, washer etc? Fantastic to watch.
He is the kind that is impossible to replace. Most now are parts changers. If they can't hook a computer to it and let it tell them what to change they are lost.
I was a heavy mechanic working in an open pit mine here in Arizona. We had 300 ton ore trucks, huge cats etc. I had to use an overhead crane to lift the air hammer just to remove the wheel lug nuts. I hear your grunts and groans and I can feel your frustration and find myself trying to reach and help you. The customer needs to understand that your job is hard and physically demanding along with the need for vast amounts of knowledge and experience. I like your videos and now that I am almost 80 I am very glad I don't have to do it anymore. Thanks!

Just a suggestion. When removing/installing heavy parts. Remove one or two of the required bolts for the part, and temporally replace them with a pair of long bolts that have the hex head cut off. These long bolts will acted like alignment studs. I used to carry and assortment of long bolts of each size and threads just for this. Makes life a hole lot easier to install heavy parts, especially when mounting a part with a gasket. Love the old CATs.
I agree with you on this country. I spent my 46 years driving and owning a truck or trucks. I retired in 2018 and glad I am done with that crap. But now I am spending all my retirement on guns and especially ammunition 😡. Keep the videos coming totally learn something everyone of them
I use a thermal imaging camera to find all the bad track rollers, alternators bearings going out just point at it if it's hot others aren't change it out. Not to mention all the uses for hydraulic pumps, parasitic drains, had a case 580 super n no one could find the draw on it I found it in 2 minutes, track rollers squeaky hard to tell which one 2 secs it will be the one red hot. Anyway, Warren point is this tool is a time saver something we all need. Thanks for the videos.

As someone that has worked on D4`s and bigger Cats I can tell you working around the engine can be a pain in the butt. And we don`t have fumigation equipment to work around. And there ins nothing green about being green. I was on my way from deliverying wine tank. And I got behind a wind machine on the interstate. How green is it when they use fossil fuel to manufacture transport and errect these machines. Plus all the birds they kill. And the blades cannot be recycled. There is a project in Colorado rebuilding a wind farm. They are digging trench`s for the blades.
Yea if you tell these gretas that they bury the windmill blades they call you a liar and say it's still better than fossil fuels! These people are looney and wierd!

In high school I put a create engine in my chevy love. drained original engine oil and hand tightened drain plug because I do not need this oil pan. wrong I had to swap oil pan and forgot that I did not tight drain plug. I got lucky and heard it bounce off under side of truck. when it came out. by the time I stopped the oil light just came on. lesson as Warren said never put a drain plug back in with out tightening it. A missing plug is less of a problem than one that falls out and blows up a engine.
You could use 2 people there working for you as long as you wouldn't have to babysit . Great video Warren I'm always learning from your videos. Safe travels
You wanna talk about not making sense. You should try wrenching for a medium size town. They just went and leased 13 new trucks at 1200 ea a month and all the time saying it will be cheaper. Guess I don't understand math. Cause all we ever had to do was change the oil on the old ones.

I speak as a Portland Native who has lived in Wisconsin for a long time, all my family is still out there and they are welcome to it. WI is far from perfect, but better than the left coast.

Exactly the same thing as the buses in Indianapolis but they have to take everyone's property to make all kinds of bike lanes and a bus lane! It's all corrupt! The damn busses have never made the tax payers of Indianapolis Indiana anything since they started in the 80s
When seeing the wear on the left side it's possible it has the wrong track chain on that side orit has different size chain pins or it is the wrong sprocket I'm not trying to be smarter than you but one set of tra cks I did it was two different chain spacing so it was not a lining on sprocket and the popping noise was when it had to jump a link love your videos probably don't need me telling you anything and I've learned a lot about the engines you rebuild
Working on airport equipment is the same packed in mess stand on you head to replace a starter down a hole change oil through the wheel well with a 3 foot hose and all the tier 3 emission's to name a few
