I might be a bit biased, but all of the upsets, Morocco becoming the first African country ever to reach the semi-finals, and the absolutely amazing final with France coming back and Martinez doing an amazing save at the end, this rounds up as the best World Cup ever.

While it was indeed painful to see my country get eliminated in the quarterfinals, this world cup my support was placed almost entirely on my idol, Lionel Messi and our Argentinian hermanos. After Brazil got knocked out, my family joined in on the cheering for Leo and I have to say, December 18th 2022 was the best day of my life. I must’ve lost a decade of my life because of the sheer stress during the game but seeing my idol win his final World Cup inspired me so much. Thank you, Leo, my biggest inspiration. Can’t wait to have churrasco with you someday.

Not only because it was one of, if not the best possible ending to an insane world cup, but because my father accidentally knocked over a glass at an argentinian goal and cut his hand pretty badly. Argentina was definitely the most entertaining team of the wc. Every match was fire! From that shocking loss of their first match, then vs Aus, vs Netherlands arguably the most hectic and fun match of tournament, absolutely dominating Croatia and that epic finale which was something straight out of a godamn movie cuz what a thriller that was!

This world cup was thoroughly enjoyable to watch.
1) I particularly liked watching the insanity during the group E final games and even Japan's fight during the knockout stage.
2) I honestly wrote off Morocco again, and again, and then all of the sudden they were in the semi-final crazy cool to watch that game
3) With all of this being said, nothing can outdo that final and everyone knows why.
Not sure how it's possible to outdo this world cup in the future. With 5 games being taken to penalties, it felt like if the wind blew the other way it could have changed history and that kept it so intense, so many back-and-forth games. I live in the US so next world cup, I'm definitely going to watch some games live!
