My favorite mall in the Philippines. It might be a luxury mall but it doesn't have the elitist atmosphere of Alabang Town Center, Greenbelt, Rockwell Power Plant, etc. So everyone feels welcome here. Magnificent Shangrila Plaza! I worked here for almost 20 years and I’m happy to see all the familiar shops still there. Brings back so many memories, every nook and corner. I’m working in Morocco now and truly I can say our malls pretty much outclasses others I’ve seen so far. Thanks for the wonderful video 👍👍👍♥️
1993 was a prosperous year that Shangri-la mall emerged to be a talk of the town mall, back then because of his classical and luxuriously designed mall, it has the sheer glitter in many designs, while the hues are all awes and fascinating. The tall fountain back then was a big hit, since it spans from the entrance all the way to the food court. It was a big mall, to date 2022, it resembled and exudes the same beauty that does not end its sheer. Am grateful that the Tantoco's families heritage is passed on from generation to generation and as enliven with Partnerships from the Gokongwei's.....its one and numerous ways of saying prosperity, prosperous new years are for the Philippines and Filipinos. 2022 onwards..
once "bored" in megamall, we'd walk over to shangri-la - that was in 1992, 1993. very classy place, back then it was THE mall. this vid makes me nostalgic. thanks for posting.
One of my fave malls. I used to visit this mall daily before I went home from work when I was still working in Ortigas area. But haven't been able to when I started working back in Makati in 2013

Directly outside we get the deeply toxic stench of traffic and whole families sleeping on cardboard under the bridges and in Starbucks, students work a 10-hour shift for less money than it costs to buy a vente latte and some cheesecake.
