You could say this is like a Tequila Sunrise but it's not really living up to the name. I understand every bar has its own measurements but this version takes away from its appeal which is the 'sunrise' effect. Iced highball glass, not rocks glass, 2 oz tequila, top with oj, stir. 2 dashes of grenadine which if done correctly should sink to the bottom & slowly rise. Hence the name "Tequila Sunrise".
This is bad, no feel for the drink, uses a whiskey glass, mixes it improperly, and doesn't know a damn thing about the color and measuring steps. How does this page have so many views? Wow! Remind me to NEVER visit this bar. Such little ingredients, the only thing that made the cup look "full" is the big ice cube he put it. What a rip! and I bet that drink is $12
well actually everything but the ice cube are a way bigger problem here. the shape, form and amount of ice cubes in cocktails are determined by various factors, as example melting speed or dilution. a single big ice cube usually has the effect of providing a longer cooling effect with less dilution because it has less surface area than many small ones. In other words, MANY cocktails are almost half full of ice, and whether you put many small ones or one big one in there really is mostly a matter of style, and not a rip off as long as it is priced accordingly. in other other words, the amount of ice has no say in the quality of a drink, the taste and pricing does.

This gotta be the wrongest Tequila Sunrise I've ever seen... wrong glass, wrong proportions, wrong garnish, watered down as hell, grenadine bombing the drink instead of gently floating it, and it's NOT shaken, just lightly mixed and that's before the grenadine comes in. I don't usually comment in videos but this one should be taken down because that's anything but a Tequila Sunrise.
