Bag of the Year? Bottega Veneta Andiamo Large - Review + Styling

- In this video, we take a look at the Bottega Veneta Andiamo bag, which many are calling this year’s “It Bag”. Very few Andiamo bags are produced in this large size, and in this video we explore the pros and cons of this bag, and look at potential ways to style it.
Launched with Bottega Veneta's Spring-Summer 23, the Andiamo is one of the first bags new creative director Matthieu Blazy introduced to the house. Its name, Andiamo, “Let’s go” in Italian, embodies the spirit of the bag, a tribute to going places and the concept of craft in motion. The bag features a timeless Intrecciato silhouette woven by hand. A metal knot adorns and fastens its sliding braided straps, allowing it to be adjusted over the shoulder or across the body, giving the bag a soft tapered volume.

hi the bag is stunning. i intentionally thought about size Medium, but your review changed everything lol. i think for this big size, we need a bag organizer. it works better for keeping the shape of the bag, yeah?

Great video! I love a feature piece and this bag itself, with its simplicity it can still be easily built around and noticeable.
Also when you bought the bag, how did they show you the different ways to wear it? Could the divider also be worn as a bag ?
Hahhaha funnily enough, they do try and say you can wear the divider as a bag itself. Though it would look terrible imo 🤣😭 they’re just trying to sell at the point i think
I just got the last piece in Malaysia in the traditional brown and used it to go to Shanghai. It held everything I needed it to hold, looked amazing - the compartment and the drawstring system is so functional too. The handle also loops onto my Tumi carry-on. My only gripe is the laptop compartment is a bit sticky with my slightly larger laptop.
No regrets in buying it and will be using it a lot.

such a helpful video! I couldn't find many comprehensive reviews on this bag, especially in this color. Inkwell is gorgeous - perfect neutral. Are the straps comfortable worn crossbody or as a single strap when you have your laptop in? I want to get the bag but a little concerned about packing my laptop in and ruining the strap or my shoulders lol
Glad you enjoyed! Personally I’ve found it perfectly fine wearing the strap with a lot in the bag. Though, like I said in the vid, I’m use to only using bags when I’ve got plenty to carry, so this just feels regular to me!

Lovely bag! I’m of a smaller build and still struggling if I should get the medium or large.
Depends on what you want it for, but if we're talking proportions, potentially medium. Perhaps go instore and try one on though just to see if possible

I think bags can be for anyone, but Bottega market this one as unisex. In the runway footage I put at 12:07 you can see they have both men and women wearing it
