Very cool. I have a couple of sneaker cabins on the Pacific trail in Oregon, and along the Appalachian trail in TN, nearing VA and NC, and one closer to Springer Mtn, the trailhead in GA. Not as legit as yours here, I went ALL-Natural, no nails or shingles, using just what I could carry on the long hike. Really just a hatchet, machete, and hand saw. Bet ya can't tell I was a generation that grew up with Link-in-logs
@@DamienBuchanan-q1k haha me too , Im 59 now . Im going to refurbish and get rid of the trash , it has sat for 7 years with no maintenance the roof is still fine no leaks , the biggest job will be getting the wood stove functioning again . Thanks for commenting .
@@DamienBuchanan-q1k the only place we used nails was the roof , for the rest we hand drilled 2 inch holes and pounded pegs from branches to tie the wall loggs together, at one point the front wall by the porch started to bow so we jacked it with s bottle jack and resecured the wall and straitened the area that was bowing with brute force , the repair held , and the front wall is in good shape .
