- Merry Christmas (Eve)! I went to Volo today and finally saw the Shavers in action. Last time I was here the air compressor was broken. It was amazing seeing them work, even if they’re very simplistic bots. Some background info on them, these bots came from the Tampa, Florida Pizza Time Theatre which like many PTTs, closed and auctioned off everything in 1984. Among the things auctioned was the exact same Four Little Shavers as seen in this video. They sat in storage for about 35 years until they were restored and brought here to the Volo Auto Museum, where you simply ask an employee to turn them on and they start performing.

these animatronics have such charming designs
This bring emotions to me. Their singing, their movements, and their outfits what make them awesome.
Sad animtronics are pretty much the steam engines of Amusement entertainment. Nothing beats seeing a mechanical puppet preform at front of us.
Long live animtronics.
Fast forward to 2024 and Showbiz Midwest is now the animatronic techie for Volo 🤖 🚘 👍
The left one’s mouth piece is really starting to show some age
I believe the left one was a custom made replica, bit ironic the originals close to 40 years old work better than it.
Im surprised they didnt nake more of these, their actually pretty entertaining, in my opinion better than dolly dimples, wouldve been cool if they would've been in the cabaret room instead of her
