Man I thought I had heard these songs so much that I knew every single layer! Hearing these is like I'm hearing them again for the first time. I knew Cornell was divinely gifted, but when you hear this stripped down coupled with lyrics that seem to be incantations from a realm only the touched can reach, it's like the whole sky filled with stars just floated into my lap and gave me a glimpse at what soul and energy truly is. Listening to this one made me imagine being there as he crafted it. And wondering whether those amongst him involved in the process, realized in those moments, what he was tapping into and how felicitous they were to bear witness.
