So great to see Mike playing VH again !!! He was undoubtedly one of the most underrated members of the original band !!!! In my opinion he's one of the best bassist/backup vocals musicians in the bizz
As a founding member it was one of the greatest disgraces in rock history making him forfeit his rights and royalties. The VH brothers couldn't have behaved any worse. Mike? Never a bad word. Pure class.
@dyer2cycle I always have to go with Dave before those 2 because he helped "create the early, but I respect your opinion. I think sometimes it depends on which era of VH you grew up on.

I also agree about which era you like being dependent upon what you grew up on..well, for me, the change came in 1985 almost exactly when I was transforming from a teenager to a young adult..I honestly like both eras, but the DLR era was the Van Halen of my teenage and high school years...the SH era was the Van Halen of my young adult years...I was a "late bloomer", and overall enjoyed my young adult years and my freedom at the time, much better than I did my high school years. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that I heavily favor the Sammy era. Sammy got blamed for the change in musical direction in VH, but it was already starting to occur..1984 and even Diver Down were evidence of this. By the time For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge and Balance came out, the music was beginning to take on a darker and heavier tone again, much like Fair Warning had before..5150 and OU812 are in my opinion great albums, but I now favor Unlawful Carnal Knowledge and Balance more...

bro! in 84 when that came out, I was 14 and I would literally sit all summer long watching MTV (which pissed my dad off to no end)🤣 waiting for that video to come on just to see them rocking it out. God I miss the 80s.
Saw Van Halen on the Monster's of Rock at old Candlestick park. Mikey's bass solo he came out with a bass on a cord, he hit a sustained note and lifted it over his head, snapped it in half, threw it on the stage and stomped on it. The roadie brought out his Jack bass and he finished with that one. It was awesome
