Great video... with the right rigs. Spectacular scenery... Washington State has so many absolutely beautiful and diversified areas of geological landscapes and seascapes. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you got out again. As others have commented and as a fellow King Co. resident, calling Vantage Eastern WA is quite a stretch and a very Seattle-centric perspective. Its like a New Yorker calling White Plains upstate. 😉 Keep driving east. 😅 Thanks for taking us along on your journey. 🙏👍🏼
Yeah, it's a fair point. Being born and raised in Western WA .... I always thought of Washington as two parts, western and eastern (divided by the Cascades). It's probably a Western WA thing.
Nice to see you all again. You all have come a long way! Looks like the LC got some updates, too. Definitely missing public lands now that were in O’ahu. Great content!
I live on the Oregon side of the Columbia River near McNary Dam. I once had a job that frequently took me through the Dry Falls/Scablands of Washington. That is on my bucket list of areas to check out. If I could find a nearby hot spring, that would be absolute perfection, especially in winter.
I watch all your videos love them. My question is this video would i be able to do it in a stock highlander hybrid i love eastern Washington i live in bellingham
Thanks! As for the Highlander doing the road in this video, I'd give it a solid 'probably' assuming it's dry without a bunch of mud. I went to school at Western. Love Bellingham!
@@WheretoNextOverland thanks for replying this summer my plan is to camp and fish at 60 lakes in Washington State. You really inspire me to try stuff out of my comfort zone. I am 67 3 years ago I converted my siv into a camper. Then before I could go I got cancer and had to postpone my plans last year I did 45 lakes before my health stopped me but took this winter to get healthy and am Cancer free so this summer I am going for 60 lakes . Again thanks for the awesome video. Btw bought a DJI mini pro 4 drone and love it have used it twice this year so far when I was at potholes reservoir and seep lakes area
I live in des moines Washington, so I've been camping plenty but all have been at campgrounds. How do you know if it's a legal place for dispersed camping? My worst feer is setting up somewhere having a couple beers and being told to leave... lol
That's a good question! Mapping software like Gaia or Onyx Offroad is really helpful for figuring that out, as they have 'public land' layers that will let you know if it's public or private. As a general rule of thumb, National Forests and BLM land is good for dispersed camping
@@WheretoNextOverland interesting. I see so many people running 10-12 psi. I’m curious about your specific psi bc I’m going to run 285/75/16 ko2s/f5s on my 100
@M4ttj0nes it just depends on what you're driving on. In soft sand (beaches / dunes) or deep snow, 10-12 PSI might be appropriate. But for hard packed dirt / gravel / somewhat rocky roads, 20-25 PSI takes the edge off but still allows for 30mph speeds without getting dangerous. If things get a bit more technical (big rocks / ledges) I might go below 20. But you'd have to be doing some REALLY hard-core rock crawling to warrant 10-12 PSI (IMO)
@@prestapost that is still Central WA.... Doesn't matter if it's East of Cascades or East of Colombia River. That is still Central WA. Bro I was dying with the Seattle log scene! So amazing
Seattle log bailed us out big time! Hahaha

That’s a great spot. I imagine that wind chill was brutal this time of year.
Yes and yes. Great spot. Wind chill no bueno!
Im just salivating over David's old fashion! 🤤
Dude, i"ve had a LOT of Old Fashioneds over the years .... and David's is a LEGIT top 3 all-time

Good to hear from you! Last I saw, you were about to move. Hope O'ahu is treating you well!

A hotspring in winter would be an awesome find!
Great video as usual and the cinematography is really amazing !
Thanks man!!
music was on point for this one! fellow LXer over here keep up the content!
Thank you! I went pretty hard on the electronic music in this one. People love it or hate it, but I love it. Haha
One of my favorite areas to explore. Nice video!
Thanks! Yeah that is a great area. Lots to explore
Rattle snake country !! Hope everyone brought there "bite" kit.
Rattlesnakes didn't even occur to me with how dang cold it was out there!
Not sure if my eye sight deteriorating but haven’t seen an amazing night sky 🌌 in the PNW like I did in Central America.
It can be a bit hard to find spots with little light pollution here unfortunately. Not impossible .... but hard
Breakfast burritos on the fire are the best! 🌯
Especially when they're ready for you after a long hike up the Grand Canyon!

What PSI do you you generally air down to when off road?
Usually 25 for forest roads / gravel / packed dirt or 20 for rougher, rocky or muddy roads. That usually tends to work well for me

As a resident of eastern Washington, please don’t call central Washington eastern…great video!
Apparently they believe anything east of Cascades is Eastern WA.... Yet eastern and central are completely different... I get tired of it as well
Haha, yeah, that's a fair complaint.
This is east of the Colombia River. Is that really still offensive?!

Coordinates??
No need to air down in that area. It’s less than 1/2 mile from pavement.
In hindsight ....you're right .... but it was particularly muddy that day & we didn't know what we were getting into.
