We go here every year to catch trout, we leave on Aug, 6th and leave Aug 10th we wish we could stay longer because it is so beautiful down there. We go canoeing and kayaking down the 8 mile niangua river. We also like to swim in the river. The most amount of trout I caught in one trip was 9 and that was last year, my goal is 10.We stay in the number 5 and 6 cabin right by the spring. We always have a blast when we go down there although the fishing is a waiting game.

Congrats on rwaching the 1,000 supporters milestone Matt and Kay!!! Such a lovely video and park! So cool this building to measure the stream levels was built almost 100 years ago. Love the transition effect at 4:05. The trout hatchery was really interesting! The camping seems to be popular with RVs ☺ Thank you for making us discover this SP!

Thanks, Gaz! The pump house was neat! Those were birds of prey. We call them turkey vultures. Don't know the scientific name. Smaller than Condors, but similar looking.
You guys are soooooo close to 1k! We finally made it over on Pusa studios live show. We seemed to be stuck in the 980’s for weeks. I really enjoy the old CCC structures we stumble upon on our travels. Looks like a real gem of a park👍🏻

Beautiful area!!!!!! The cave/tunnel looked cool. I have been to the hatchery at Branson, pretty cool. We thought the trout fishing was cool..even though we are fairly close, trout are something we do not have naturally without stocking. I have a funny story about Lebanon, Mo. When I was in Boot camp in the Marines we had a guy that when asked where he was from would just say Lebanon...when people would say "wow you do not look Lebanese" ..he would quietly and slowly answer .."Lebanon Missourah" Thanks for sharing this park with us!

That’s a cool place. I think I’ve been to the one by Branson many years ago. There’s a cool little park just across the border in Oklahoma called Natural Falls State Park. Not as cool as that place though.
Thanks, Doug! It is nice to have so many people out in our public lands. And bringing their kids. It was refreshing to not see a bunch of kids with their heads buried in a phone, but interacting with the people and things around them.

It was busy! But a great park! The bathrooms at the store were great. At our campsite, they were closed and were porta-johns. HA! Decided you didn't need to see those.
Are you guys from Missouri? I have a cousin that lives in Southern Missouri, I think the town is called Alton. Wow that is a very pretty place. I really hate that people write and carve their names in old historic buildings like that. That water looked so clear there.
