I am from Madhya Pradesh and I have lived in Gurgaon for an year. In terms of food/digestion, it was not a good time for me. I am living in South for more than 10 years now and I am very happy with the food here.
As of a vegetarian person I find North Indian food more tasty & flavourful & having much options which are different in taste rather than South Indian food which is quite a bit same ( can have dosa as breakfast but not even 3days constantly) ….
1st Chole in Chole Bhature has Imli also it is not a everyday Breakfast food. It is a Special Occasion Food. 2nd Kerala and few nearby states have good vegetarians food but States like Telangana and Tamil Nadu don't have that much vegetarian food options. In fact North India has more Fertile land to grow Green veggies in Comparison to South. North India has Aloo Methi, Aaloo Gobhi, Sarso ka Saag, Kadhi Pakoda, Bharwa Karela, Rajma, Lobia Curry, Bharwa Baigan, Baigan ka Bharta, Bhindi Fry with and without Aloo, Badi ki Kadhi, Patod ke Pakode, Arbi ki Sabji, Palak Paneer and a dozen Paneer dishes, Moong Daal Pakoda, Daal Baati, Gahat Daal etc. 🤤🤤

I love the Non-Veg food of Telangana like Natikodu Pulusu or Andhra Fish curry but you can't have everything everywhere. Also, North India has around 2 Dozen main Rivers which makes the land more fertile. Eastern part has Bay of Bengal and Western part has Western Ghats which brings a lot of Hell lot of Water in the soil.

I always rep everything south indian over north but please all your vegetables are fried with turmeric, chilli powder and salt, and there is wayy too much carb going on
why choose where you dont have to. i am a north indian bihari married to a tamilian. across breakfasts, full meals and snacks... we enjoy both cuisines with some chinese and pasta wagairah thrown in. i have this theory that all hunger isnt the same. theres a particular hinger thats only satisfied by methi ke paraanthe with hari mirch ka achaar. in peak summer you need dal bhaat aaloo chokha with onion and chilly on the sides. dahi chuda in the mornings. classic filter coffees and paper dosa in the winter evenings... appam, upmaas... dude.. i'm eating brown bread sandwitch with makhaana and darjeeling tea right now!!

Although parathas especially paneer or dal parathas may be heavy to digest for some, its insulin spike is less than idli or vada. Idli, vadas, dosas are more carbs than protein and have empty calories with as much double the insulin spike. #justsaying #cannotgeneralise
