*WOW, GREAT MINDS! I see you are plugged into the Boss unit and have the Triaxis in its Effects loop. Please tell me how does the TRiaxis sound in the Boss FX-loop apposed to going direct into the Triaxis input??!*
I can get way better results, as I am able to level and toneshape the input signal in the Boss before it's hitting the Triaxis. Also i can use pre gain effects such as wah, phaser or flanger with this setup....

Why does the clean sound sound so distorted
It is the phasing or chorus effect I think. Probably chorus interacting with the reverb and causing a noise floor.
