Great seeing the new Witch Avatar in action! Looks like a really fun build! I saw a few things in game one to point out - AoE picks up the Devils egg after it attacks the Assasin, you didn't misplay picking up the egg with the hippogriffs Cerberus in chains could not have been summoned to that location - as it is not their site nor is it an Earth minion - but also couldn't be cast at all because they don't have the second fire threshold. Despite this it could have intercepted your step forward to cast firebolts, but you had the kobolds for the safer finisher regardless.
Miss play at 12:06. The earthquake buries the bats but doesnt kill it since it has burrow. Not sure how much that would have effected the outcome of that 2nd match.
You shouldn't have been able to walk in and firebolt in game 1, the Cerberus was untapped and could have intercepted you and killed you before you could cast firebolt.
Bats have burrowing, it would have survived that Earthquake in game two. In game one when you moved your Witch forward couldn't the opponent intercept it with the Cerberus?
Intercept only works on a move through a site, not to a site. Intercept is mainly used for minions with a more than one movement ability. It goes in the more detail on page 22 of the rulebook.
Interesting, I did not know that. I'm trying to learn the game. So if my Avatar moves into a grid square while not attacking it cannot be intercepted? That is an odd rule. Thx for the response.

What do you think of using Land Deed on Far East Assassin? By removing a site and using the Witch increase cost ability, you can set your opponent back by 2 mana on their next turn. And if you happen to have a Maddening Ball as well, it could be vary scary
@@EmilyGores this is a weird interaction similar to mirror realm where the card has already made the decision of what it's going to do before it enters the realm. smokestacks stops, Genesis abilities and ongoing effects, sites that are already there. It will not stop something like mirror realm or rift valley that has a "pre" enter the battlefield trigger

Yup I had to relearn how intercept worked. I still had lethal in my hand just not with the fire bolt.
