Bob. By installing that water pump in that tank took up some room. So if that pump wasn’t in there don’t you think it would allow more water in the tank? Not saying that pump took up a 1/2 gallon but it definitely would allow more the 2 gallons. Just saying!!!
Great job! I wonder if the pump in the tank as well as your fittings and hose are displacing a half gallon of space?? Just a thought. LOL I finally spied the Bison emblem on the tank, looks downright official. The do make flow indicators for fluid lines. Check out Grainger or McMaster Carr but be warned you will get your wallet out for that experience......maybe even on Ebay or Amazon once you get an official brand or name of the gadget. I would bet you can get pointers on the level gauge wiring somewheres on TH-cam.
Agreed but it would look cool! I have seen some that have a red and white striped ball in a glass that spins......that would be the SHIT man! Might not be enough flow pressure with that pump but its nice to dream anyway. I am surprised you didn't incorporate a cooling fan directed at the head of the compressor to supplement the one behind the motor.....from what I hear that is a HUGE benefit especially when filling the big SCBA tanks like you have. I dont have all the machining gear to do what you did but certainly got some great ideas from watching this.
i only run mine just long enough to fill a gun witch is around a minute or less maybe once a week or two and never gets over 40 degrees c at any giving time
@@BisonWorkshop Thanks for info. i am getting ready to start this , but i think i'm going to use a small car radiator with an auto fan, which is similiar to what you have done. I just wondered how cool a fan/radiator would keep the compressor. One more thing i think you should do - on my Young Heng and Tuxing compressors, i removed the 6mm oil drain plug, drilled out the middle (this takes a drill press and drill press vise), and expoxyed in a small magnet sourced at Amazon. These compressors don't have bearings around the crank, and candidly, i've been amazed at how much metal "fuzz" is stuck to the end of that magent after my 8hr. always oil chance.
I really want to see you do the computer water cooling loop ! That would be a really cool project .....
Very cool. My Yong Heng is amazing, but this is another level of cool !!!!
lol. i thought so too .
Clean work!
thanks

i thought about the flow meter but found no real gain to having one. ive already went way past realistic use lol

What temp does the young heng now operate under full load

My Yong Heng came with the Temperature gauge and probe in a separate box. Where does your; probe go.
Or anyone else that could help me.
back side of upper cylinder - small hole there, just insert the probe in the hole
@@p5makersplace thank you for answering him. i didnt get a notification of his question.
