I was there today at the Chase Field. LOL, this was a Mexican Home Field. Entire stadium filled with green white and red. So many Mexican and Mexican-American fans there. For every 1 USA fan, there were 4 Mexican fans. Stadium sold out. Was a fun game and I'm not even Mexican.
Crazy cool 90% of them Mexicans walked right through the border too. Gotta thank Creepy Joe for reals.

But also not. I wish I could've been there. Even though we lost it would've been so much fun. Love my Mexican neighbors.

Really? the USA beats us by far in most sports... basketball, tennis, volleyball, gymnastics, athletics, etc, etc. We challenge them only in a handfew tbh. Also... there are only 3 countries in North America as most people coloquially don´t count central american/ Caribbean so yeah almost every encounter due to only being three participants will be a "classic" by elimination...

As an American I didn't realize the Fandom there was in Mexico for baseball. I mean I know yall come and watch, but I was pleasantly surprised knowing that soccer is probably the main sport. What a game, great to see. It makes it fun to watch when the fans are invested in their team.

Whether a player is a major leaguer or not might not be important in this kind of tournaments. Mexico seems to a Japanese baseball fan a very good team.
Fwiw there are a lot of guys in Japan good enough to make MLB who never try to make it here because of the way Japanese Baseball structures their contracts to where someone has to buy out their contract.
That game was a total cash grab by MLB nothing else.
MY kids play varsity high school baseball in the US. They could have hit one out on that field.
