Unfortunately, Many people have many gods of needs .. Money, Sex, Greed of food, What I need to buy to keep up with society and much more. These gods Tear Down .. They do not build you up, they tear you down. It's up to you which god you choose. There is a choice, I choose the one God which helps me build up others. The God of Israel. The God of Love, Power and Might. At times, I do go down the wrong path, it does not mean I am perfect. It just means I realize and can see, repent and do better. There are people around you that need you to be firm and to help others around you because people can see which GOD you believe in, and it gives them hope. Thank you, Rabbi, for reminding us that God needs us.

I love this and it tracks with my experience of depression. And yet this is the fear of animal soul- that its survival needs will not be met - and that there is no place for it in the world. Intellectually the idea that G-d needs me and I have no needs is beautiful and rings true- but I am curious what this means in practice. After all, He needs us to “till the soil” and success is never guaranteed.

My beliefs, God is a number. A colossal mass of spirit energy and wisdom with a star as astral body. There are many BCS billions of people believing manifest amazing things. Plus once an individual reaches self awareness, they create their own. Over many lifetimes. There is a heavenly father or ultimate creator. If we rewound far enough everything would eventually fly back into it's/his consciousness.
Just good to keep out of a little God box, broaden consciousness. An idol fits in a box, not God. Or any of them. And any God that changes a life from hate to Love 💕 deserves my respect.

The universe, subatomic particles, God, whatever you may want to call it, needs us to complete the tapestry of its puzzle we call “terrestrial life”. Once we have met whichever “someone else’s” need was, we’ll be swept away and our energy transformed into another “shapy” piece of a puzzle created by someone else who needs us and thus, the cycle “of life” will repeat itself eternally. Let’s not forget that energy is not created or destroyed, but transformed.

An interesting word in the context of Need? The most usual concept of need by many individuals is either desire, want or need, in thinking that these words have the same significance. In philosophical terms of reasoning desire is the lowest element of evilness over ruling reasoning. Where want and need are totally independent of each others definitions for the want of something or some one is partly more indicative in its form of desire, however need defines an urgency that cannot be neglected nor over looked. An example is that a house in want of paint does not look its best and does not require immedient attention for painting. On the other perspective a house in need of paint is in its worst condition indicating that it requires immediate attention and is in need of painting and cannot be neglected nor overlook or ignored any further. In retrospect in the same manner that a newborn baby needs to be nurtured and cared by his mother, so does one need God's Goodness Gracious Godness protection and defenses in times of need when overwhelmed by the opposing forces of God that are threatening ones' own Godly's wellbeing.

Every "request" that comes to fulfill the needs of others is always a test.
Some of the people who will come, will have a need that I will have to grant or fulfill.
Some of the people who will come, will have a need that I will have to reject.
This is called "distinguishing between good and evil".
How can I distinguish between these and those? We will ignore what our eyes see and our ears hear, and instead ask, prey and seek for guidance.
And what happens when we don't receive guidance? We neither decide nor act but wait. Why? Because that was the real test, namely whether when you don't receive guidance, you go back to acting on your own. In the Bible this is called "Moshe's ascension to Mount Sinai." Some sat and waited for Moses to return and some went back to their old ways and built the golden calf.

The 'needs' arguement is weak. If there is any proposition that has NEVER worked historically it is the deceptive face of need. Our own real needs are simple and few and our given conditions on earth have more than provided for them. Does God have extraordinary needs? Is he hungry? Cold? Lonely? Is that our only purpose? To provide God with food, shelter and companionship?
We are very good at depriving others of basic needs.

I think to myself, even though I don't recall requesting or accepting being born or incarnated into the body I have, does that mean that I didn't? I think no, not necessarily. Just because you don't remember something happening, it doesn't logically follow from that that something didn't happen, or did happen.
I think about some near death experiences people claim to have had, where they claim they were reincarnated; some claimed they wanted to be born into the life they were born into so that they may spiritually grow. What does one make of such accounts?
