I moved to Prestatyn about a year ago, it's a beautiful place, it's full of hidden gems that I'm still exploring. My girlfriend owns the shop 'Vagabonds' that you looked at.
Wow....I left there in 1983, have visited a few times since but I hardly recognise the shops in the High Street now.....Station Bridge massively improved and the old Railway Pub has clealry had an overhaul!....interesting......
There's a distinct absence of people, quite sad because it looks like a pleasant little place... I can imagine it was a bustling holiday resort 50 years ago. Thanks for the tour Marky👏🏻
I’m grateful for the lack of crowds of people 🤣 it’s chaos when loads of people are here on holiday. Have to leave an hour earlier to get anywhere with traffic haha. Stunning sea views though eh ☺️
They went before the shops opened. Its still bustling. They never went to the big retail park off the High St. Commentry was ill informed and basic. Bit of a waste of time. Would guess it was about 8 am.
It's still popular and rammed with holiday camps. The video skipped the few attractions, outside the camps, Prestatyn still has, at Central Beach. The area didn't decline 50 years ago: the council demolished Prestatyn's Ffrith Beach in the early-'90s, along with a poor redevelopment of Rhyl seafront and that was the start of a decline - especially as they've continued to repeat those mistakes. At least a bit of seaside heritage remains at Central Beach that the council hasn't destroyed.
Shame you didn't go to the ruins of the Roman bath house! Or walk along any part of the disused railway line which is now a lovely path, or go up to the viewpoint on the hill - there's so much more to the town than the high street and the beach. Still lovely to see people visiting though!!
Im from Stockport now I live in Rhyl! Nice to see you’ve been up this neck of the woods! Saw your Rhyl video too typical council taking over! Take care lovely 😊
I'm from a similar area and used to go to North Wales quite often as my grandparents had a static caravan on a site over there which we would use. Just remembered the name of a lovely restaurant / hotel called Nant Hall that we went to a few times when we didn't go to the place right by the beach and apparently it's recently closed :(

Thank you for the information Emily, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and will visit again 🙂
It's definitely more than just a seaside town, there are lots of beautiful places, it would take a much longer video to fit them in though.

The man you met at 1:30 could have been your brother.
Liked your vid, but had to turn down the sound, because your waffling is irritating, but I did like the vid.
Liked your comment but i went full picture so I didn’t have to read the comments..
@@griswald7156 well done!
