I have got badlands model 22 and believe me is very well made. The details like: coughs set and forget opening, flaps over leg pocket, molle, arm adjusters are the reason why I bought this instead Carlsbad. The older badlands was simply not for me

Sure wish you would have spent more time reviewing the pants! They were presented as an afterthought.

I wear dress shirts in a 37" sleeve length. In this jacket, I wear a large-tall. The XL has long enough sleeves but the body is too big for me.

Oh, I guess this is going to be the Men's equivalent to the Artemis I just commented on saying "I kinda wish there was a men's version of this" lol

You said if someone only ride on the street there could be more adequate product on the Klim line. CE ratings and Goretex are important for me since I'm riding a lot and in all weather conditions. What would you recommend?

The Latitude and Kodiak lines from Klim are their answer to making a more street-friendly Badlands Pro.

Nice coat. Well out of my price range. You guys got any idea when the Carlsbad will be back in stock for those of us on a budget?

Pure chance that the suit you chose to model is the one with KTM orange on it, eh? :)

I love Klim Gear, with the Baja S4 & Kodiak Suits in the garage. I had the Gen 1 Badlands Pro suit as well. I think Klim hit the apex of Badlands style with the Gen 2 (reflective pops running over the shoulder from front to back, similar to the Kodiak Gen 1). This iteration is hideous, especially in that garish orange. Watching someone riding a 1290 SAR wearing this jacket would induce a headache and perhaps nausea. It's just TOO much (for me anyway).

Spurge, I have your height and similar build. You mentioned you fit a regular but for reference are you in a large or XL in the jacket, and in the trouser? Is the regular trouser not too short?

I'm 6'1, 230 lbs with a 37" sleeve. I wear Large/Tall in the jacket and 36 regular in the pants. I find it hard to believe he wears a regular length jacket unless its an XL which has a longer sleeve length but it too large in the body for me.

@@dano9176 Agree. Like you I went with the large tall. Snug around the waist but arm length just right. The XL regular sleeve length I believe is the same as the large, strangely short but the waist is huge-annoyingly bunches up when seated on the bike. I’ve found that a couple of quality layers with this jacket can get thru near zero to high 30’s (Celsius). It really is a versatile piece of kit. The 36 tall trouser was way too long for my 33 inch inseam, knee armor sat too low, and returned for 36 normal. In an ideal world I’d like an inch more in the waist but with this investment, it’s a compelling reason to watch the waistline. Oh, as reference for those pondering a purchase, I’m 6’2” 210lbs, 43” chest, 42” waist (gulp), 32.5” inseam. Awesome gear, highly recommended.

I went to the store yesterday to buy me jacket. I was looking to spend 400-650 bucks. End up coming out with this jacket and some Klim Adventure boots. I was in a hurry and quickly tried on jackets. I did not noticed that this jacket doesn't come with an insulation thermal liner. Simply put, it's a rain jacket. I am taking it back. No way in hell that am I going to pay 1,150 plus tax for a jacket that is nothing more or lass a rain jacket. There are other brands that come loaded for 500-700 bucks range. I have a Tourmaster Adventure jacket that it fits better and keeps me warm in low temperatures, and I paid like 350 bucks for it. Hell, with Klim by the time I had the pants I'd need a lot of room in my soft bags to carry just the Klim gear. Oh, ajd after 36 years riding, rain or shine, I have very specific things I look for. One is that the zippers are protected from rain, this jacket is good in that respect. Another thing is that the jacket must be adjustable and fit snuggly around my wrists. This jacket is good in that sense too. But, it must also fit me snug around the neck. This jacket won't even when I adjusted the cinch cord to the maximum, and with the velcro in the front adjusted all the way (to the point ai hardly have any velcro left), When I turn my head there is a still a pretty good opening on the side of the neck. Again, for a 1,1150 dollar jacket, Klim did not delivered. I am starting to compare Klim to BMW, great marketing, extremely expensive, but when everything is said and done BMW is one of the top two least reliable motorcycle brands in the market. Sorry, but Klim people need to wake up and give more for the price. At least I liked the boots, well, kinda. The BOA closure system in nice but too many people complaining about snapping easily. But that is a different review. Probably the first and last Klim products I ever buy.

This is a men's jacket...that may be why your neck is too small for the jacket.
