Heaven's Gate isn't relevant at all to Area 51 for those wondering lol. The only thing they have in common with Area 51 is the connection to aliens, where HG believed a spaceship was tailing behind the Hale-Bopp comet and would take them all to become "perfect beings" aka aliens as they believed their bodies were merely vehicles into the next stage of perfection. I won't go too much detail into it since it's a bummer when you see their reasoning for their later actions but I thought I'd mention it for the people who have heard the name and assumed it was just about wacky alien stuff. They did visit *near* Area 51 on one occasion but spent their time doing mundane stuff there. On a lighter note, they were pretty generous with their money to strangers and to each other! While they had sporadic income, they often left high tips and enjoyed having fun night outs eating at buffets or movie theatres as a group. Of course, none of the positives are to praise the cult, just info!
I’ve watched this vod like 4 times I literally opened TH-cam to watch it again and this was at th top of my feed. God this documentary rules. This was also the first scorpy stream i caught in its entirety which was. Formative I think
idk i think about why people love conspiracy theories a lot. my current theory is that it’s easier for some people to believe in aliens or lizard people or mole men than it is for them to believe there is something wrong with the system they live in and that they’re being exploited. which is wild to me but i get that it’s easier to assign blame to one nebulous, non-human entity than to examine state corruption and repressive government. idk dawg.
I think it'd be so fucking funny, right, if someone like made a fake mask and suit and everything, filmed a one to one recreation of the interview tape, and showed it to so called "abductees" today just to see how many of them say yeah that's real to the blatantly faked video.
Area 51 is the common name of a highly classified United States Air Force facility within the Nevada Test and Training Range. A remote detachment administered by Edwards Air Force Base, the facility is officially called Homey Airport or Groom Lake.
this is like my 5th time watching but i cant stop thinking about how if humanity rlly does meet aliens and we become chill with each other the aliens will check out our internet and see documentaries like this and be like "damn gnorplo these dudes racist af. also this reagan guy sucks"
was the final victor interview a recreation? bc that is clearly a man either acting out without moving their mouth or wearing a mask without articulation
"I hope to God it's a fake. Because if it's not, I'm so ashamed for mankind." -Vin Diesel in regards to leaked images of the new Gameclam console.

The original vod had a fact check about area 51, and now this vid does too
i love the regular refrain of this doc of “yeah it might not be real but it’d be really cool if it was”
Saying you have a security clearance 38 levels above top secret is the same way a child would brag about that their dad works for Nintendo.

The construction of this tape is so fucking funny and bad. It's got such a directed, but also meandering feel to it.
