Organic henna should be kept on skin for atkeast 8-12 hours before removing and when you do remove the dried paste scratch it off or use any oil, but do not take it off with water or else the stain might end up pale. After removing it the colour won't be too dark. The colour will darken in 24-48 hours after removing and during these 24-48 hours avoid water touching the stain for better results.

I don’t suggest any liquid other than water😊
Tea water and/or lemon juice will help with darker stain

@sindhupriya391 water works too and is easier but some henna brands don't stain well and some people like darker stains. So adding lemon juice or tea water will bring a darker stain. Coffee helps too

Sugar content may be less. Add sufficient amount of sugar
Eg: 100gm henna powder + 35-40gm sugar
